Tracker Casts Actress Melissa Roxburgh As Colter’s Sister – Airdate Hinted

Justin Hartley’s Tracker premiered on Sunday, February 11 of this year, introducing fans to Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who travels the country using his expertise in “tracking” to assist law enforcement and private citizens to solve all types of mysteries, all while dealing with his own broken family issues.

Flashbacks have offered insight into Colter’s past, mainly his family which includes a little sister, Dory, as well as an older brother Russell (Matthew Russell Mahood), and parents Mary (Wendy Crewson) and Ashton (Lee Tergesen). Colter’s mom and dad were Berkley professors until Ashton suffered an incident that had the family moving to a cabin, off-grid.

Tracker – Colter Shaw’s Family History

Colter goes on to note during Tracker’s Season 1 that the cabin the family lived in was actually a “compound” by Sierra National Forest. Ashton began talking about people who were going to “get him”, and how the family should be prepared. This is when the father taught the kids how to hunt, track, and free climb at a place referred to as “Devil’s Notch”.

In 2003, on a night when their mom wasn’t home, Colter’s dad allowed his paranoia to get the better of him. He ran off, leaving the three kids behind. Russell followed him, and about an hour later, Colter found his dad dead, near the bottom of “Devil’s Notch”. It looked like Russell had pushed him over.

While Russell has tried to reach out to Colter as there is something his brother “needs” to tell him, in present times, Mary, who hasn’t been on screen since Episode 2 wants Colter to disregard his older brother.

Tracker – It’s Time For Dory Shaw To Enter The Equation

There has been no mention of Dory Shaw in present-day time. Justin Hartley told TVLine in February that the show has “to address that” and when it occurs, “it will be very meaningful”. He confirms that fans won’t see Dory early on in Season 1.

Still, Hartley recently hopped on Instagram to announce that Colter will finally reunite with his little sister in the “coming weeks”, posting a photo of him and actress Melissa Roxburgh who has been cast as Dory Shaw. As Tracker’s Season 1 finale airs on Sunday, May 19, fans will have to stay tuned to the show to see how Dory’s explosive debut unfolds.
