In tonight’s Big Brother episode, host Julie Chen Moonves was back with an all new theme for “Big Brother 27”. The theme this season is Hotel Murder Mystery. Everyone loves a good murder mystery.

The house also has never looked better. It turns this year’s theme translated into an art deco right out of an Agathia Christie novel and the house looked great. The first set people to enjoy the new house was Group A. Group A comprised of Kelley, Zach, Adrian, and Amy. Kelley came from a small town in South Dakota. She wasn’t joking about it being small.

The population of the town was fifty. Not fifty thousand. Fifty people in all. Kelley got out the first chance she could and she traveled the world. The web designer has been to several countries as well as all fifty of the United States. Zach was different. Zach was part Filipino. He was from Georgia.

He’s a marketing manager. He was also super athletic. He’s been a sportsman his whole life and played baseball for a while. Then there was Adrian. Adrian was a carpenter from Texas. He literally said upfront he’d do anything to win and perhaps was the most honest because of that statement.

Adrian was also a talker. He’d talk and talk if you let him. He’ll be quick to befriend everyone. Amy however admits she has a temper. It’s her inner momma bear. Amy was a single mom of three from California. She was also a top insurance agent in her region. She was open to flirting.

Others were not. Zach said swore he wouldn’t have a showmance. He promised his very Christian’s family until he met Group B. Group B comprised of Lauren, Keanu, Rylie, and Ashley. Lauren was a gorgeous bridal stylist from Louisiana. It was her dream to have her own design company and winning Big Brother could give her that.

Only Lauren’s type fitted a few people. One of them was Zach. Zach’s type also turned out to be Lauren. He developed a crush from Day 1. Keanu also matched Lauren’s description of her type.

He was a gentle giant. He was named after Keanu Reeves because his parents are huge fans. He was also an open out of the closet nerd. He was a Dungeon Master from Texas. He was very versatile and could probably and very easily befriend his fellow Texan in the house. Rylie meanwhile was a professional bull rider.

He’s broken his jaw several times thanks to that job. He still won’t give it up because he loves the adrenaline rush that much. Rylie was from Oklahoma. It was a far cry from the Ashley’s home in NYC. Ashley is a lawyer. She’s hoping to use strategy like she does in the courtroom to win this game. She was young, beautiful, and successful. She knew her weak point in the house was bound to be a boy. Showmances can get in the way of a great game and so Group C’s Katherine knew to get away from that one.

Katherine was a full-fledged feminist. She didn’t see the point in dating. This fine dining server from South Carolina was there to win and she wasn’t interested in anything else. Group C also included Mickey, Zae, and Jimmy. Jimmy was a AI consultant from Washington DC.

He used to be a strategist for the federal government until he got laid off and found out about it via twitter. He decided to keep his past to himself. He didn’t want anyone knowing he was involved in politics because he was going to use that as a secret power to winning this game. His words.

Mickey is an Event Curator from Georgia. She loves the glitz. The glam. She was about creating the perfect atmosphere and most people didn’t realize that she was a country girl at heart. She grew up riding horses and ATVs. She was open to finding her cowboy because she was a social player.

Zae was social too. Zae’s full name was Isaiah. He was a former Mormon. He left the church because he began to feel a pull to something different and now lives in Arizona as a salesperson. He’s big, muscled, and easily made a friend in Keanu.

Jimmy befriended Amy right away. Mickey developed crushes on both Keanu and Rylie. Rylie being a Brad Pitt vibe that she digs and she went in saying she’d love a cowboy. Now the last group was Group D. Group D had Vince, Morgan, Ava, and Will. Will was former military.

He was now a college sports podcaster. He has a blended family with his wife of twenty-three years. He was a proud grandpa. He knew that rule with raising kids was that you couldn’t let them win everything. And that’s why he won’t be taking it easy on the younger generation in the house.

Ava is an artist from NYC. She paints people’s auras. She loves the 60s. She’s big into flower power and was the black sheep of her family. They were all teachers. She was an art teacher to pay for her art. She said being a starving artist will prepare her for the game. Morgan was a completely different character. She was a professional gamer from California. She was also an athlete. She has two track coaches as parents and so of course she was going to get into track. Much like Jimmy, Morgan was choosing to hide her profession. She didn’t want anyone to know she’s good at winning games.

Something that played into what happened later.

Lastly, there was Vince. Vince was from California as well. He’s currently unemployed and living with his parents. He believes that makes him hungrier than the rest to win. He also has a moustache that helped him stand out amongst all the men in the house. They had muscles. He has his moustache. The Groups eventually all entered the house. They met each other. They were talking when they heard they had their first mystery to solve. Julie had been kidnapped by someone that also stole the HOH Relic. Until both were recovered, the game couldn’t be played.

They all got split into two groups. One to find Julie. The other to find the relic. There were plenty of people that didn’t want to complete the tasks. They didn’t want to put a target on their backs. Morgan was one of them. The gamer wanted to stay under the radar at first. Katherine felt the same. Zach wasn’t sure and then he saw that Adrian about to find Julie first. He used that to speed up. He also won by essentially using Adrian’s information. They had to check several doors. Adrian already ruled out half when suddenly Zach skipped those to check the doors upstairs.

Zach won that competition. He found Julie. He won ten grand by doing so. The person that won the relic had much harder time of it. Jimmy was the first to relic. He didn’t win cash. He was instead given a chance to pick four people to play in the first ever HOH competition. He could pick himself. Which he did. He also had to pick three others and again most people didn’t want to compete. They didn’t want to come across as a threat so early on. Jimmy ended up picking Adrian, Ashley, and Vince because they wanted to compete.

Vince was willing to tell Jimmy anything he wanted to hear. He wasn’t there to make friends. He happily admitted in his confessional he was willing to lie and that’s why he wanted HOH. He wanted guaranteed protection. Adrian felt the same about protection. Ashley didn’t care so much about winning. She mostly volunteered to earn some good will. And later the four played “Destroy the Lair”.

Vince ultimately won but now comes the hard part of having to put up people for eviction. He had to nominate three and one could be saved by BB Blockbuster (formerly BB AI). The second will be saved by the votes. Vince risks angering two people still in the house and they received a special houseguest. Rachel Reilly was back. She was the biggest threat they’d have to face. The only way to stop her was to find the great mastermind’s secret accomplice.

And Rachel was connected to someone in the house.

THE END!
