Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the next two weeks, May 5 to May 16, reveal that injured Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) will be hospitalized while Tate Black (Leo Howard) makes a bold move for Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerrieggel) will also dish out some love advice, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
The week of May 5-9 will bring Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) efforts to talk Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) out of her bachelorette auction date with EJ.
Chad will also put EJ through a grilling session about his agenda, so EJ will suspect his brother has feelings for Cat.
EJ’s latest medical ordeal taught him how precious and fleeting life could be, so he may push Chad to open his heart to Cat if he truly wants her.
As for Sophia, Days spoilers say she’ll be bummed over having to miss prom.
However, Sophia is on modified bed rest, so she can’t do extracurriculars and has to stay off her feet.
That means prom is out – at least in the traditional sense.
Something tells us Tate may come up with a private prom party that coincides with Sophia’s upcoming birthday celebration.
Over with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), she’ll reach out to Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) and get ignored.
Doug will try to keep Holly at a distance and remove his drama from her life, but she may take matters into her own hands and force him to see her.
Meanwhile, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will decide to bankroll the hospital and will speak with Dr. Jeffrey Russell (Michael Dietz) about his intentions.
Dr. Russell has been hoping to get out of his contract and take his research elsewhere, but EJ may insist that’s not happening since the doc’s research is far too lucrative to let go.
Of course, Dr. Russell’s lab work includes developing a drug called Versavix, a potential sepsis treatment that isn’t ready for human trials yet.
Since Dr. Russell wouldn’t agree to hand that drug over to Bo Brady (Peter Bergman), Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will move forward with their plot to steal it.
Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will approve of doing whatever’s necessary if it means keeping Bo alive!
At one point, Shawn will spend some time with Belle Black (Martha Madison) and reconnect with her – though they’ll presumably keep things platonic.
This will probably just be about moving past any recent tension as Belle consoles Shawn over Bo’s condition.
Although Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) will remain devastated over the failed adoption, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will finally pop back up to comfort her.
It’s been a while since DOOL fans have seen Abe, so it’ll be nice to watch him step up for Chanel.
Next, Days spoilers say Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will give Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) some big news.
Since Alex will tell Xander about something he’s discovered, he may mention Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) amazing novel manuscript.
Alex read it off-screen and couldn’t put it down, so he’ll think Titan-DiMera should use this novel to make a huge splash in the publishing world.
Stephanie probably planned to keep One Stormy Night tucked away in storage indefinitely, but Alex will try to charm her into going along with his idea soon enough.
Elsewhere, Xander and Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey) will apparently plan to take off on their anniversary trip earlier than anticipated.
Sarah and Xander will count on having a wonderful vacation, but a sudden medical crisis will change everything.
While Sarah’s munching on one of her favorite treats in the town square, she’ll realize it tastes different and will have a coughing fit.
Sarah will struggle to breathe, so she might be allergic to something after a recipe change at Sweet Bits.
Since Chad and Cat will step up to comfort Felicity Greene (Kennedy Garcia), she may feel responsible for Sarah’s ordeal if she made the baked good that caused the emergency.
During the week of May 12-16, Sarah will be rushed to the hospital for treatment, so Xander will be a nervous wreck.
Although Sarah’s going to be OK, this may shake her up and give her the final nudge she needs to confess to Xander.
Seeing how caring Xander is during this crisis could convince Sarah that she needs to tell her husband the truth about how long she knew about the letter forgery.
Regardless, Xander will remain furious with Philip, who’ll become the victim of a beating that lands him in the hospital as well.
You can bet Xander will face accusations of going after Philip, but will he actually be the guilty party?
There might be a reason why Days had Philip interact with Doug and cover for him recently.
Now that Doug’s facing more money demands, it’s possible Philip could get dragged into the chaos and get beaten by the same thugs who went after Doug before.
On another note, the drug theft operation should move full-speed ahead, but will Shawn and Steve managed to score the Versavix dose Bo needs?
