On tonight’s FBI episode, someone blew up a billionaire’s apartment. The bomb killed three. Father, mother, and nanny all died in the explosion. The eleven year old son was the sole survivor.
His name is Taylor. He was on a different floor. It was the only reason he survived and unfortunately he was left catatonic when he saw the bodies. He was checked into the hospital when this case was given to the feds. This normally would have been a local thing. NYPD were actually pretty upset that the feds were taking over. It smelled like preferential treatment for the rich.
Which it was. The FBI adopted a policy to handle these cases after that healthcare CEO was killed. They now handle high-profile murders and that’s what Peter Minskoff was.
He ran a fifty billion dollar company. His wife was a socialite. The poor nanny was just doing a job and she got killed for it. There was no mention of the nanny by the way in the media. It was just about the Minskoffs. The feds wanted the media to believe that it was a simply a gas leak. The truth is someone bombed that apartment and there was a note that could explain why.
Serena Minksoff found a note that said “we can get to you anywhere”. The man that left the note was Dejan Petrovic. Peter was building a new factory in that man’s backyard and the union wanted their due. Petrovic was hoping to pressure Peter with the note. Peter was a known union-buster.
He didn’t want to pay people a living wage and he was making things hard for everyone, but Petrovic didn’t kill him. He snuck into the man’s ritzy building. He left the threatening note and that was it. The oven that they thought was tampered with wasn’t in fact the cause of the explosion.
It also had a computer in it. It recorded the moment of the explosion. It didn’t come from the oven. It came from a drone strike and it wasn’t the only one.
Just as the feds realized what they were dealing with, another penthouse was bombed. It was official. They had their first two cases of a drone strike on US Soil. The United States was therefore under attack. The victim of the second bombing was Edward Archer. He was another billionaire CEO. These men were killed with military grade weapons.
It was identified as a Buschcraft 200. There were a few earmarked for the war in the Ukraine. It never made it because it went missing on transit in Canada.
It uses facial recognition to target someone and these things were so high tech that they could be traced. It was online for two minutes in Queens before the tracker was disabled. It was wnough to give the feds a location. They eventually found a warehouse with two men inside. One was waterboarding the other. The torturer was Thomas Banks. He worked for Edward.
Banks was Edward’s bodyguard. He was former British Special Forces before that. He knew that he had everything covered and the one thing he couldn’t count on was a drone strike.
Banks was willing to share his information because he was looking at some serious charges. Edward was in town for a secret meeting. He was about to take part in the purchase of a large company. The AI companies were banding together and there was one other CEO involved in the deal. And there was one drone still missing.
Isobel had no choice. She had to ask Scott Collins to come to 26 Fed. He was the last CEO standing. He was a part of the deal. He was the only one left that could tell them who might have known about it and wanted to stop it. Scott showed up with the members of the board at his compaby. They were told about the threat.
The lawyers quickly identified a suspect. They believed that Perry Hinton was behind this. Perry built the company with Scott. They worked for years out of a garage. They survived a fire as well as poverty together.
They made it big. Only Perry wanted to remain idealistic. He wanted to use the AI to help the world. Scott thought differently because he knew they had to answer to a board now.
Perry was eventually pushed out of the company by said board when he wrote them a letter. Peter was also now dead. He’s been dead for three days. He left behind a manifesto video. His video mentioned that he used the AI they created to come up with a plan. Cyclone the AI allegedly helped him find figure out how to stop the deal.
It even helped Perry steal the drones. The feds thought that Perry overhauled the AI to do his bidding right before he killed himself. They were wrong because the manifesto was a deepfake.
Perry did kill himself and that broke Scott. They were best friends. Scott thought he could work with the board to change their minds. He stopped thinking that after his best friend killed himself. He knew Perry had been right and so he was going to finish what Perry started. He used the AI in a way that everyone could see its danger if proper safeguards weren’t put in place.
The feds realized Scott was behind this too late. He already weaponized the drone. He smashed up the board he used to do it and so there was no stopping it. Scott didn’t intend to kill the board.
He just wanted them to realize the danger. That was why he weaponized the AI. The AI itself was unhackable. Scott and Perry made it that way. There was no stopping it. There was also one board member that didn’t care about the lives lost. He just wanted to weaponize the AI and potentially sell it to governments around the world.
Scott send the drone after that man’s daughter. His only child. Her name is Ashley. Maggie and OA got to Ashley. They put her in the car. The drone was smart enough to track them and so they had to ditch the vehicle.
They ran off into a warehouse where they could hide in reinforced the basement. It worked during WWII. Maggie got thrown by the blast, but it luckily didn’t kill her. The AI was out of drones after that and people were safe or as safe as they can before someone else manipulates the technology to their advantage. And that’s why Perry wanted the safeguards in the first place.
It was all for nothing anyways because the board was going through with the deal. They didn’t care about the risks. They were tracing profit and they can make more now that Scott was facing a life sentence.
It didn’t matter that Maggie almost died or that she was so shaken that her friends stayed by her side to help her feel safe.
THE END!
