In tonight’s FBI episode, there were two IRS Agents that were brutally stabbed to death in New York City. It happened at a restaurant. The agents were there because they were part of the Criminal Investigation Division and they were auditing that restaurant for underreporting their earnings.

The latter happens a lot in the city. The restaurants try to save money when they do this, but no one counted on a murder. The owners of the restaurant swore they had nothing to do with this. They didn’t know about the audit. There was no forewarning. The killer also seemed to have planned this down to a tee.

The IRS Agents had lunch at the restaurant before they put on the jackets. The ones that said IRS on it. They wanted to see for themselves if the restaurant was doing great and it was. One of them even fell in love with food. He said it was better than his Italian grandmother’s.

It was only once they ate that they put the jackets on and identify themselves to the owners. Their killer knew exactly who they were before they were identified. They made sure to follow the duo to the restaurant. They went in with a blade. They took off without it.

The FBI was given this case. The victims were federal agents. This could be about a move against the government. They soon found the murder weapon in a dumpster nearby.

There was a maker’s mark on it. It was created by Ivar Asghari. He was a bladesmith in Brooklyn. He has a long rap sheet. He mostly makes anti-governments posts on social media and so the agents went to his store knowing he might be trouble. They were fully prepared to take apart his store if he didn’t tell them who he sold the blade to.

Asghari was tougher online. He gave them the receipt along with a name. The buyer was Sandra Longo. She didn’t have a record. She had a steady job. She was about to be promoted to manager.

It didn’t make sense that she’d be involved and she was involved. When they went to go question her, the agents noticed that she had a motorcycle helmet that matched that of the killer’s. Sandra also tried to run when they asked her about the helmet. She was their killer. It wasn’t a man at all. She also parroted a well-known line with the FBI after her arrest.

Sandra said “I Do Not Recognize Your Authority”. The FBI knew those words well because they heard it countless times whenever they arrested a Calvin follower. They call themselves Calvinites.

They believed any and every conspiracy theory. They were so radicalized that they were willing to commit acts of violence if not outright terrorism. Only the FBI thought they put an end to” Calvin”. He was really Duke Ducoyle. He’d ramp up his base to claim he needed donations to continue the fight. He was currently out on bail for instigating violence.

Everyone figured that Duke wouldn’t be dumb enough to risk bail until they checked Calvin’s site. Calvin was posting again and he did so just the day before the murder. The feds went to go talk to Duke. Duke didn’t want to help them. They ended up helping him. They found a finger in ice on his coffee table.

Duke was forced to explain or risk getting arrested again. The finger wasn’t his. It was his wife’s, Trishelle. Trishelle went to hot yoga like she always does. She just never came home. He got a call from her phone and it was some man on the other end.

The guy demanded access to the Calvin account. He also dropped off Trishelle’s finger to show he was serious. Now, Duke could have gone to the cops or the feds. He didn’t. He didn’t want to be seen talking to them. He also didn’t want them to confirm that he was indeed Calvin right up until his wife was abducted.

Duke was so worried about her that he did the unthinkable. He worked with the feds. He helped them talk to Sandra. Sandra followed Duke because she thought he was a true believer like she was in Calvin.

Duke got her to admit that she was personally contacted by Calvin himself. He messaged her on a new app. The feds used that to track the location of this new Calvin. They tracked it back to a closed butcher’s. They found and believed they rescued Trishelle. Their suspect unfortunately got away.

Although, it wasn’t long before they identified him. Trishelle admitted openly that she believed in the mission. She said that Calvin was doing great work and that her husband used to believe in him too. She wasn’t getting that he was the real Calvin.

There was no mission. No deep state. Duke made it all up to con people out of money. He did so through donations and a podcast in which he claimed to decipher Calvin’s messages.

It’s all a con. Duke never even suspected that he radicalized his own wife. She happily gave over her finger because Calvin contacted her. He told her that it was up to them to free the Greenwich 41. There were forty-one people arrested for taking part in the Greenwich riots and the person behind the new Calvin account was in fact Robb Whitfield.

Sure, he was a conspiracy theorist himself. It’s just not why he went after one IRS Agent in particular. The agent was Whitfield’s neighbor and not only did he hate him but he also wanted to free his younger brother from prison. Chris Whitfield was naturally one of the Greenwich 41. He attacked a cop with a pipe during a riot.

He was facing serious jail time. His brother didn’t want him going away and so he intentionally set about murdering his neighbor to prove to the feds that he means business.

Whitfield posted a video as Calvin calling a call to arms. He tried to get the Calvinites to kill off the AUSA Prosecutors in his brother’s case. The feds were able to foil that plot and so Whitfield tried again. He posted a Calvin-coded message that the feds couldn’t crack. They weren’t sure they had enough time. They went back to Duke.

Duke no longer cared about getting justice for his wife. He outright said he was less invested in that now than he was before. The only means by which they could get him to talk was by dropping all the charges against him connected to the Greenwich 41.

Which was essentially their whole case against him. Isobel didn’t want to do it. She was forced into doing so because her boss the Assistant Director was calling the shots. Duke got his deal.

He then decoded the message. He said it was calling for former military to storm the prison. Break out the prisoners that were the Greenwich 41. They went to the prison where Chris was being held. The riot out front was a ploy. Chris was supposed to get hurt so that an ambulance was called in. It was his brother dressed as an EMT.

The feds stopped the ambulance. Chris’s injuries were a lot worse than they thought. He actually died from the stab wounds. His brother blamed himself. Chris didn’t even want to go the Greenwich riot. His big brother convinced him to join and then he ran off after the police showed. He got away.

Chris didn’t. Now Chris is dead because of Whitfield’s plan. He was so torn up that he admitted to literally everything he did. He gave them access to the Calvin accounts.

The feds also found evidence in those accounts to show that Duke set his followers on Isobel. He stalked a federal agent and that wasn’t covered in his deal. It was in fact a felony. And so right as he was being arrested again, Duke swore that things were about to get even uglier.

THE END!
