General Hospital Wednesday, January 29 Recap: Carly Saves Brennan’s Life – Jason Feels Sasha’s Baby Kick

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 29, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) went looking for Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) at the spa and heard a commotion in the room he’d reserved.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) used a cord to strangle Brennan over what happened in Prague, so Brennan eventually lost consciousness.

When Carly barged in and saw what was going on, she bashed Valentin over the head with something and rushed to Brennan on the floor. That gave Valentin the opportunity to flee.

After Carly pushed Brennan to wake up, he indeed regained consciousness and quipped that he was so glad she decided to join him.

Brennan refused medical attention and told Carly that it was “classified” when she asked what he was going to do next.

However, Brennan did tell Carly thanks for saving his life.

After Brennan privately made a phone call ordering Valentin killed on sight, he knocked on the door of Carly’s hotel suite.

When Carly opened up, Brennan moved in close and pulled her into a passionate kiss.

Back in Port Charles, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) got Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) to admit the baby was Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell), but she didn’t want to cause custody issues by offering proof of his infidelity.

Sasha didn’t want her baby to be part of all the Quartermaine chaos either – and she insisted Jason couldn’t tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) since those connected to him were in danger.

Although Sasha pushed Jason to walk away, he made predictions about the tough reality of being a single parent and offered support.

At one point, Sasha felt the baby kick for the first time, so she guided Jason’s hand and let him feel, too.

After Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) heard from Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) about Sasha’s pregnancy announcement, he watched and listened to her interaction with Jason outside the boathouse.

The wheels started turning for Cody, who seemingly assumed Jason was the father of Sasha’s baby.

Meanwhile, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) cried to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) about being sterile, but he suggested she could still use a sperm donor since he wanted her to experience a pregnancy.

Brook Lynn assured Chase that he was the best husband she could ask for, but he needed some time alone.

Once Brook Lynn summoned Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), she revealed Chase’s medical results and suggested maybe she should tell him about her first baby that was adopted.

Since it seemed like Chase was stuck on the idea of Brook Lynn experiencing a pregnancy, Brook Lynn thought perhaps he should know she’d already done that.

Lois seemed a little anxious over the possibility of Brook Lynn blabbing and hinted about the past staying in the past.

Nevertheless, Brook Lynn thought the situation had changed and admitted that when she thought of having another baby, she had wanted to be carrying Chase’s child.

It seemed like maybe Brook Lynn wasn’t interested in carrying someone else’s baby since it could hurt Chase. That led to Brook Lynn realizing that her first baby might’ve been the only time she’d have a biological child.

Downstairs, Gio was rude to Emma Drake (Braedyn Bruner) upon her arrival, but Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) encouraged him to be a little more gentlemanly.

After Emma pitched the idea of Gio playing violin for another animal fundraising event, he got offended over her acting like he only played boring stuff.

Emma insisted she was trying to compliment Gio as a musician and smoothed things over.

Gio also riled Emma up by joking about a scam, but she voiced how passionate she was about fighting animal cruelty and impressed him.

While Emma and Gio worked out the event details, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) got into another heated confrontation at the nail salon.

At GH, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) ran into Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), so that gave her a chance to apologize now that Lulu knew about her shooting Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

Lulu understood it was an accident and blamed Valentin since he didn’t tell Anna that Charlotte was stalking her.

Afterward, Dante crossed paths with Lulu while Anna got updates in Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office. Portia talked about the string of intentional digitalis overdoses, so Anna speculated about an angel of death.

However, Portia was uncertain of that theory since two of the victims were healthy and on the mend.

Anna ultimately learned that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) both died from intentional digitalis overdoses.

Later, Anna approached Dante with news, so he said Lulu could stick around for it.

Dante was left reeling once Anna admitted that Sam was murdered, so she definitely gave him a lot to process.

General Hospital spoilers say Sam’s loved ones will definitely want justice as this storyline heats up, so don’t miss all the revenge plots ahead.
