In tonight’s March Me Abroad episode, two Americans have really befriended each other this season. They were Amber and Victoria. Both of them were in Ireland to find love and they decided on a double date.
They’ve met some great guys over there. They’ve also seemed to settle on someone. Victoria was taken with Darren. Amber was taken with Keavan before ending up on Glenn. The ladies both got into some trouble with their matchmaker because of the status of their relationships. Amber’s problem was that she was too proud.
Amber wasn’t willing to be vulnerable with someone. She wanted constant contact. She wanted someone that says whatever whenever and she failed to see that she was being love-bombed by Glenn.
Glenn was exactly the type of guy she normally dates. It doesn’t work with any of the others. It won’t work with Glenn either. Amber was letting her pride guide her. Its why she was choosing Glenn over Keavan in spite of Keavan being a better choice. He wants to take his time with Amber. Only she was ready to have the “let’s be friends” conversation with him.
Victoria’s problem is that she was interested in Darren. Darren just didn’t seem to be interested in her. He hasn’t kissed her. They’ve gone on multiple dates. They got matching tattoos.
They have about the same type of humor. They were perfect for each other on paper and not so much in real life. Victoria won’t commit until she’s had some intimacy with someone. She needs to know if that will match with everything else. Darren doesn’t want to go there because ultimately he lives in Ireland. She lives in New York.
Darren wasn’t sure if he can move for her. Nor did he want to ask her to move for him. He wasn’t a bad guy. He just wasn’t itching to kiss her and move pass the acquaintance stage.
If he really doesn’t want intimacy with her, he might not be in her. Which is fine. She simply needs to know these things early on because she would like to meet a boyfriend in Ireland and he’s taking up precious time. This was why the matchmaker was upset with both ladies. They were wasting time on the wrong guy when they were plenty of other fishes in the sea.
Funnily enough, Victoria didn’t like Glenn. She thought he had on more makeup than she did. He wasn’t her type at all. She also thought his talk of moving to Texas was happening prematurely. Darren agreed on that one. He thinks the foundation should be strong before anyone moves.
Or at the very most visit. Then again Darren and Victoria have both dated long-distanced. Neither Amber nor Glenn ever have and it shows. When things soon fail with Glenn, Amber will go back to Keavan. Indecision could also have them end up like Monica. She was down in Brazil making a fool of herself.
Monica was asked to choose between Bruno and Bernardo. She chose Bruno. She sent Bernardo packing. Now, she regrets that decision. Bruno was an amazing guy who likes her and has everything she wants.
He was big on communication. He doesn’t want kids. He was perfect for her and she came to Brazil to initially meet him. Then she met Bernardo. Bernardo ghosted her on one day. He kissed her on another. The sexual attraction was there and at the same time he was destined to hurt her if they stayed together.
Bernardo wasn’t good boyfriend or husband material. He also mentioned that he wants kids. He doesn’t have children right now and that has been a dream of his. One that Monica doesn’t share.
Monica has an adult daughter. She raised all the kids she wants with her girl and she doesn’t want anymore. Plus, the ghosting thing was a sign of immaturity. Monica not knowing how to date was another sign of immaturity. This could be why she keeps coming back to Bernardo. They were a lot alike.
Sarah was at least enjoying her time with EJ. EJ has a great heart. He makes Sarah feel special. He has his own business and she has her own business. Sarah’s one problem with EJ was his timetable.
He wants to wait two years before he gets married and starts trying for a baby. Sarah thought that was a long way into the future. She was paranoid about this because she was engaged to a guy who strung her along for years before they broke up because he didn’t want kids. Kids was a big topic. He knew Sarah wanted them and that it was nonnegotiable.
Saying no to kids was wanting to break up with her. Sarah was still hurt by that. She also knew enough to realize she wasn’t getting any younger and that a two year window was stretching it for her, but she shouldn’t push EJ into something he’s not ready for. He has a two year plan because that’s when he’ll be ready.
Maybe things will line up for him to be ready sooner or something can happen and he’ll need more time in two years. Sarah has to decide if her feelings for EJ was enough to last those two years.
Monica hurt Bruno for no good reason. She kept saying her heart was telling her something else. Was it the heart or was somewhere lower? Monica was confusing love with sexual attraction. She doesn’t see that Bernardo doesn’t care about her. He was stringing her along. She’s the fool because she gave up a great guy for that ghoster.
But Amber was officially off Glenn. The double date extended to a bar. Glenn disappeared on them. Amber lost sight of Victoria and Darren. She had to make her own back to the hotel. She was so angry at Glenn who didn’t even bother to reach out to the next morning.
By then, Amber had enough. They had a big blow out at the bar the next day. Glenn didn’t apologize or bother asking how she got home. He didn’t care about her safety. He showed it and so she was going to end whatever they had right then and there.
Darren also ghosted Victoria on her last night in Ireland. He later apologized. He also offered to drive her to the airport. And she’s hoping to confront him about inexcusable behavior on that drive because she didn’t buy that his cell phone suddenly died on him.
And Harrold date has been going well with his own Amber.
THE END!
