In tonight’s NICS: Origins finale, the neighbors weren’t friendly. Lala used that as justification for breaking into their backyard. She did it to use their pool and she didn’t tell anyone else about it. She knew it would look bad if she got caught. She was a female federal agent.

They wouldn’t take her moments of tomfoolery as a then Gibbs put it stop them from putting her in jail. They would want to make a lesson out of her. Lala knew that and still she kept doing it. It was her one guilty pleasure. It reminded her that she was still a thrill seeker at heart.

When she was coming back from the pool, she ran into her friend. Her friend is Lara Macy. She was also an investigator. She was with military police and Lala turned to her for guidance a while ago. Lala complained about Gibbs’s fragile state of mind. She thought he was unstable.

She didn’t think he was fit for the job and she tried to bring her concerns to Franks. Franks dismissed her. He told her that Gibbs was one of them. Lala was so frustrated with being ignored that she vented to a friend. She hadnt known that it would be used against her.

Her friend found out that Pedro Hernandez was dead. He was killed down in Mexico. It wasn’t either of their jurisdiction. Lala found out about it and she didn’t tell anyone else about it because she knew what happened.

She knew that Gibbs had killed Hernandez. She didn’t need to be told. She found out that Hernandez was killed by a sniper. That alone told her about Gibbs. Gibbs tried to tell Franks about it and Franks told him to keep it to himself. He didn’t want to know. He didn’t want to be implicated.

Franks became implicated after talking to Lala about Hernandez’s murder. Both of them knew what Gibbs did. They didn’t tell anyone else. They just kept quiet and that in itself was a crime.

They had a duty to report a murder as NIS Agents. Lala knew it and she tried to cover for everyone involved. She tried talking to Lara. She said her she was wrong about Gibbs. She said that she didn’t report Hernandez as dead because it was no longer her case. He was shot by a rival gang member. It had nothing to do with them.

Only Lara has a source. She has a source. The source told her that Gibbs killed Hernandez. Lara just had to prove it now to make her case and she wanted to make case. Lara wanted to move over to the JAG department. She applied for funding for legal training more than once. It kept getting denied. Lara proving her case could open the world for her. She could finally get into JAG. Or go elsewhere if she felt like. (she chose elsewhere in the future). Lara poked holes into the original investigation into Hernandez’s death. She wanted to take it to a friend in JAG.

JAG wouldn’t prosecute without hard evidence. Like the murder weapon. Lala knew she couldn’t tell Lala everything in case Lala stays loyal to NIS and so she eventually left before showing Lala the Hernandez file. She was right to leave. Lala wasn’t going to help Lara with this. She went on to round up Gibbs and Franks.

They went to Franks’s house. His wife left him. There was no one else they needed to worry about. They were free to shout and yell their frustration out. Franks kept suspecting Lala.

He wanted to know how she knew Lara. Lala didn’t want to tell him first. Which Franks took as an opportunity to mock. He said that they found themselves in a room of p*nises when their eyes met. Lala eventually admitted that Lara was her source with the MPs. Lara gave her tips. It’s how she’s the first to every crime scene.

Franks always wondered about that one. Anyways, her close relationship with Lara didn’t bode well for Lala. Frank became more suspicious of her. They knew Lara had a source. They thought the source was Flaco.

They roped in Randy. They told him everything. He went with them to speak to Flaco. They nearlu got killed for stopping Flaco’s guys from killing someone else and so Lala had to pull a gun on Flaco’s mother. It got them out of the situation safely. It also meant she owed Flaco one for the disrespect.

With Flaco ruled out, Franks for sure thought it was Lala that was the secret source. He openly accused her and she couldn’t believe him. They began yelling at each other. She hasn’t done anything to have her place on the team questioned.

Lala also didn’t need to warn Gibbs in the first place. She could have sat back and he would have gotten tripped up on a lie. He would have gotten arrested. Even sent to prison. The only reason he wasn’t immediately sent to jail was because Lala protected him. She was loyal and no one should question that.

Nor should they walk all over her anymore. She accused Franks of doing that. Gibbs felt bad about the bust up between her and Franks. He tried to do the right thing. He dug up the gun from where he buried it. He brought it to Lara. He admitted he killed Hernandez.

The one thing that Gibbs asked for in return was that no one else be implicated. His team was to be kept out of it. Gibbs then went looking for Lala. He found her in the neighbor’s pool and he joined her. They almost kissed, but it didn’t happen because he told her what he did with the gun. Lala was so angry with him.

She rushed over to Lara’s. She said she helped Gibbs. They planned everything together. Lara knew better than to believe her. She also knew that she couldn’t stop Lala for getting herself thrown in jail anyways. So, Lara chose friendship.

She let Lala go. She dropped the case against Gibbs. She told Franks she was dropping it. He asked who her source was and it had been Gibbs. He got arrested after a bar brawl.

She was Watch Commander that night. She overheard him on the phone. He told his former landlady friend/grief counselor that he killed Hernandez. Gibbs just has to stop drinking. And no one else would figure out what he did.

Randy was considering transferring elsewhere when Lala got into a nasty car accident. There was a reason Gibbs never told Lala’s story. Could it be because she died after protecting him?

THE END!
