In tonight’s NCIS:Sydney episode, Bluebird never graduated from any institutions. She has no qualifications. She took the college courses. She just did it for other people who paid her for her time. Blue’s application however was a bit bare. She was honest this time and her honesty wasn’t going to get her back onto NCIS.
JD was trying to figure out what to do when they caught a new case. The Naval attaché was found murdered. Lieutenant Felix Ebrahimi was his name He was also recently investigated by NCIS a few months ago when a photo circulated of him using drugs.
Now, the NCIS investigation from that matter revealed that the photo was faked. Someone wanted it to appear as if Felix was using drugs. The question was why. Why did someone want to frame him and end his career? Felix was found with a bag of popcorn. He went to a noir movie theater.
His popcorn had something wrapped in tinfoil hiding in it and Mackey at first suspected drugs. She just couldn’t figure out what a man just cleared for drugs would then go on to buy drugs in his an empty movie theater.
His career was almost cost because of the previous investigation. He could have lost his rank. Doc Roy eventually found out that the victim swallowed something right before he was killed. He swallowed a pawn shaped USB. They needed some help to cracking the USB because it was encrypted. The best person for that was Blue. Not Trigger.
Trigger tried to help and he was all thumbs when it came to the tech stuff. He needed someone to take over. The best person was Blue. She hasn’t been hired back or anything. She was essentially working the case for free.
Blue just loved being back in the action. Its why she’s been helping Trigger for weeks. There were three prints on Felix’s popcorn. One was his, the second was Ali Azad, and the third was someone not in the system. Ali came into the country a few days ago for the chess championship. His daughter was playing in the tournament.
She was considered one of the best and Ali was her coach. Though he hasn’t been seen since Felix was murdered. He didn’t go back to the hotel or show up for his daughter tournament.
Felix’s family fled his home country forty years ago. It was his home country that was now targeting him. He wasn’t the only one. Blue got access to the files on the USB. It indicated that Ali Azad’s wife didn’t die in an accident. She was murdered. Felix protested her death. The same goes for a third man named Hassan Saberi.
The last one refused to talk. He was now a dentist in Sydney. He didn’t want to be harmed and he didn’t want anyone in his family to suddenly disappear. Almost like what happened to Ali.
NCIS first assumed that Ali was working for the regime back home. He went to Sydney to carry out their orders, but DeShawn’s gut feeling didn’t agree with that sentiment. He kept digging. He spoke with Ali’s daughter Rana. She said her father was gentlest man. He could never hurt anyone. He was good with codes.
He was a tech guy. Rana gave them the final code to the other files. It showed that her father wanted to seek sanctuary in a foreign country for both him as well as his daughter. They killed his wife and in return he was going to give the West access to a spy ring conducted by his country.
His wife didn’t die in an accident. She was beaten to death for speaking out. The spy ring that Ali uncovered showed that they pretended to be dissidents to infiltrate foreign countries when really they were spying on them. This included Hassan Saberi. He was still working with his home country. He killed Felix.
He disappeared Ali and now Rana lost her tournament to get DeShawn the code he needed to unlock her father’s files. She was taken out of there by the regime the moment she lost. And she was about to get disappeared.
They later found Ali being tortured by Hassan. Only they didn’t have Rana. Her father wanted to trade himself for his daughter. DeShawn came up with a better deal. Trade Rana for Hassan. It worked. They got Rana. Rana was reunited with her father and they were getting their visas fast-tracked to the United States. It was good news for American chess.
And JD found a way to still get Blue the accreditation she needed without her lying. He did the lying for her. She was officially back on the team and they were keeping Trigger. too He got his own room for all his gear. He was good when they were in trouble.
And Mackey spoke with Rankin. She wanted him to let it be known that she has the Ghost file and it will be released to the media if anything ever happens to her.
THE END!
