In tonight’s Amazing Race episode, the teams headed to Paris, France! They also didn’t have to go through a travel agency. They were allowed access to a cell phone and they each got to book their package deals themselves. It saves time. It even ensured they were all the same flight tonight.

The flight determines everything. Taylor and Kyland were at a disadvantage last week when they had to take a later flight than everyone else. They still made up enough time to catch up to them. They also beat another team for the last spot. And so this week was about moving up from last.

If they didn’t want to remain in the bottom or risk being eliminated, they go to learn to dance. The can can in particular. The first stop in Paris was Moulin Rouge.

It was a historic place in Paris. It also requires for both members of the team to learn how to do the can can and well enough to receive a high enough score from the judges to move on. Taylor and Kyland once again found themselves in fourth when their taxi driver took a possible scenic route. It was either that or they chose a hotel that was really far from their destination because they honestly arrived last.

Everyone else got there before them. The others all struggled learning the dance. Dancing wasn’t their forte. Joseph and Adam were the first to the great Moulin Rouge only choreography didn’t seem to be their thing. They were disheartened before they were even told what the can can entailed.

They missed their lead because two other teams quickly arrived. Jag and Jas were just as bad at it. They eventually got the lead back when they accomplished the dance and they were off to the second point of travel – Notre Dame.

She was the grand dame of Paris. Jag and Jas was in first. Taylor and Kyland surprisingly swooped in on second. They soon made it to the Moulin Rouge and they were able to overtake the others.

The remaining two teams kept struggled for a bit until Izzy and Paige got third. Leaving Jospeh and Adam in fourth. They went from being first there to being fourth. It became their turn to make up time or risk getting eliminated.

They were not kidding when they said dancing wasn’t their thing. They soon got it after Izzy and Paige. The two teams ran into each other as they looked for a taxi to Notre Dame.

What do they have to do there? Nothing, but get their next clue. They were going to be translating a passage. It wasn’t from English to French. It was from English to braille because their next stop was the Blind Institute. Jag and Jas struggled with that one as well. They were taking so long to translate the message that the judges for the task began drifting off.

They ended up getting coffee just to stay awake. Jas was so slow on the typewriter. He offered to do it because he was good at memorization only braille is its own language. The judges had finished their coffee by time Jas finally got it right. Their next stop was finding the Statue of Liberties located all around Paris. They complete that task and they were closer to being first at the finish line. It helps that they stayed first throughout the day. They were first to the school. They were the first to finish the translation.

Now, they needed proof of the three Statue of Liberties. The French gifted the United States of America theirs and have never forgotten it because of what it stood for. Liberty for all!

Taylor, Jospeh, and Izzy all agreed to do the braille translation themselves. They were all there trying to type as quickly as possible. Taylor finished the translation second. She and Kyland were holding onto second position for as long as possible. It was down to Izzy and Joseph for third or last spot. And anything can go wrong.

The statue of Liberty all holds one piece. They needed three pieces to make it to the final stop in Paris. Back at the school, Joseph finally got the passage right. He and Adam were onto the Statue of Liberty clues. Izzy was so busy rushing that she considering her many mistakes. All she did to fix the situation was to be as fast as possible. She needed new sheets of paper several times. She also finally got it right not long after Joseph did. Ensuring her team was still in the game. It was onto the statues for her and Paige.

The three pieces they get from each statue of liberty comes to make a place an architectural feature of their pit stop. Jag and Jas have once again become team number one. They also won something. They won a trip to Fiji from Expedia. Meaning package deal. They were going to be racing back to the United States for their final leg after this. Taylor and Kyland were the second team to make to the pit stop in Paris. Those in third and fourth were picking their third pieces when the other two were told about the trip back to the States.

It came down to Izzy and Paige vs Joseph and Adam. They each got the third piece. They quickly hopped into a taxi. They just had to hope that their taxi knew where he was taking them or else they lose this season of “The Amazing Race”.

And so tonight ended on a very serious cliffhanger.

THE END!
