The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Wednesday, July 9, reveals that Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) flatlined as Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) panicked in the operating room. Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) also rushed to the hospital for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), so here’s how Wednesday’s B&B action played out.
At the beach house, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) found a faint pulse and put pressure on Liam’s wound until paramedics arrived.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) tried to answer the cops’ questions, but she was upset and wanted to focus on Liam.
Ms. Dylan (Sydney Bullock) was also freed from her restraints and felt terrible about not knowing the truth about “Ms. Sunshine” aka Luna, but Finn assured her that it wasn’t her fault.
Liam, Luna and Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) were all rushed to the hospital for treatment, so Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) got updates from Finn as the shooting victims arrived.
A cop once again asked Steffy questions about what went down, so she explained a bit more about unhinged Luna and credited Liam with saving her life.
Although Steffy acknowledged that Luna was Finn’s daughter, she told Finn she didn’t know what she’d do if Luna survived and Liam didn’t.
Grace wanted to work on Liam since he was her patient, but Finn sent her to patch up Sheila’s foot instead.
As for Steffy, she gave Liam a kiss on the forehead before he went to the operating room.
While Grace performed Sheila’s surgery, Li got the horrific shooting news and wound up working on Luna with Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones).
After Li struggled to remove the bullet, she suggested they may have to leave it in.
Li refused to let Luna die this way and was relieved once she seemed more stable.
As Li talked about being the one to tell Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) about all this, Bridget declared that they had a bleeder and worked frantically to help Luna.
Once Luna flatlined, Li panicked since they were losing her and started shouting Luna’s name.
After a police officer gave Steffy some reassuring words, she headed to an observation window and watched Liam’s surgery.
That also gave Steffy a chance to call Hope and fill her in on Luna shooting Liam.
Hope was understandably distraught as she filled Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) in and rushed to the hospital with him.
