The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, June 27, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be in a chipper mood despite how glum everyone else is on the train. There’ll be talk about the roads and tracks being wiped out due to the storm, but Phyllis will point out that she’s been stuck worse places.
Phyllis will gloat to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about her meeting with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), but it’ll be obvious she hasn’t locked anything in.
Even so, Sharon will voice concerns when she shares a moment alone with Phyllis later.
Since Cane went about all this in such a bizarre way, Sharon will act like it’s reminiscent of Martin Laurent’s (Christopher Cousins) games.
Phyllis will argue it’s a different situation, but she’ll be touched when she realizes Sharon is actually trying to protect her like a real friend would.
In the end, Sharon will acknowledge that Phyllis could outsmart Cane if he’s indeed up to something.
Near the pool on Friday’s Y&R episode, Cane will find Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) getting some sun with Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), so he’ll comment on them being friendly.
Lily will wonder how Cane knows she’s just friends with Damian, so he’ll assume she’s saying they’re something more.
Lily will clarify that it’s none of Cane’s business, but he’ll push for some time alone.
After Damian steps away, Lily will give Cane five minutes to make his latest speech.
Cane will make it clear that Damian can’t be trusted and will highlight the fact that he’s a liar.
Lily will basically act like that’s ridiculous coming from Cane considering he lied for so many years about this Aristotle Dumas charade.
However, Cane will insist he wants Lily back and that it’s still his hope to come home to her eventually.
Lily will call Cane delusional and think it’s sad that he still loves her since she doesn’t love him anymore.
Once Damian reappears, Lily will plant a big kiss on him – mostly to rile Cane up.
When Damian questions Lily about it in the aftermath, he’ll acknowledge that he’s wanted to kiss her since they met.
Damian will be willing to help Lily send a message to Cane, but he’ll admit he’d prefer if she kissed him because she wanted to.
Lily will concede that the kiss was partly for Cane’s benefit, but she won’t regret it because she also wanted to kiss Damian and enjoyed it.
When Cane runs into Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on the grounds somewhere, he’ll insist he’s moving on now that Victor’s turned down his Chancellor offer.
Cane will tell Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that as well, but Nick will remain suspicious of Cane’s motives and will offer a warning about protecting his family.
Once Cane finds Damian on the train later, he’ll advise him to rethink that Winters job offer.
In fact, Cane will think Damian should stay away from Lily altogether, but Damian will point out that he doesn’t answer to Cane anymore.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Damian will get tangled up in some new drama thanks to his feud with Cane, so stay tuned for updates on any troubling news ahead.
