The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, August 26, indicate that some of Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) buried secrets will be revealed after Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) extends a risky invitation.
Billy wants Cane to think he’s a real ally, but he actually plans to spy for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and ultimately make his own play for Chancellor.
However, Billy will act like Cane’s supportive buddy for now and will apparently invite him over for a drink.
Of course, Billy will no doubt want to fish for information about Cane’s latest meeting with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), which Billy will know about because of his private investigator.
Although Billy may try to trick Cane into spilling something, Cane may be selective about what he divulges.
Billy hasn’t earned Cane’s trust yet, but Billy may hope to change that as they bond over some booze.
Cane may not want to tell Billy about Victor’s new blackmail material, but he’ll at least share some details of the six years he spent off-screen.
Y&R spoilers say Cane will open up about all that time away from Genoa City, so Billy will listen for any news he can use to his advantage.
Billy will also use this opportunity to strengthen his connection with Cane and perhaps convince him that they can make a great team.
However, Cane may remain wary of Billy since he’s an Abbott and family loyalty sometimes runs deep.
Billy may have his work cut out for him when it comes to selling Cane on the idea that he’s truly willing to go against Jabot.
As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she may become increasingly worried about Billy’s faux alliance with Cane.
There’s the potential for disaster since Cane is such a wildcard and Billy is a forever screwup!
Sally will definitely want to watch out for Billy along the way, but she’ll have to juggle her babysitting duties with all the work she’s doing at Abbott Communications.
