The Young and the Restless spoilers say the show just slammed the door on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as a pairing – maybe for good! Y&R made sure to offer no hope for Adam and Sally’s romantic future, so let’s talk about some Valentine’s Day evidence.
In the February 14 episode, Adam had a very significant dream, which started out with a long-awaited reunion with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Soon after, Sally appeared in the same fantasy to offer Adam a second chance and ask if it was too late.
Adam was forced to hurt Sally once again by admitting that when she rightfully pushed him away, he had to let her go.
This Valentine’s Day dream felt like true Sally and Adam closure since he confirmed his reconnection with Chelsea.
That was perhaps the show’s attempt to prove that even if Adam could have Sally back, he wouldn’t want her at this point.
It felt like a strategy to close Adam’s last romantic chapter and go all in on the new one he’s hoping for.
Of course, Adam and Chelsea’s reunion was only something he dreamed up, so he’s still waiting for it to actually happen.
Our predictions point to Chelsea eventually surrendering to her lingering love for Adam and letting herself embrace a fresh start with him.
That’s disappointing news for fans who might’ve been holding out hope for Sally and Adam to find their way back to each other.
It’s possible a writing shift could change things down the road, but Adam and Sally clearly aren’t getting back together anytime soon!
Y&R just slammed the door on Sally and Adam HARD, so it’s best to just accept that Chelsea is his path forward.
