In tonight’s Watson recap, Sherlock was back! He mentioned working a case nearby. Watson just never expected he’d suddenly showed up in the middle of the night or that he’d make toad in the hole for him for breakfast. Watson warned him against showing up suddenly in the night.

He won’t hurt him. Others might. Watson and Sherlock were eating when they saw Sherlock’s brother on the news. Mycroft was the CEO of Diogenes Technology. In other Sherlock lore, Mycroft has always worked for the government and so does he still work for the government? And is Diogenes Technology one of their companies?

Sherlock doesn’t know because he barely talks to his brother. They haven’t spoken in years. There’s a chance that Mycroft may not even know he’d return from the dead again. Their brotherhood has been troublesome from the start.

It wasn’t long since Sherlock popped up that Mycroft started calling Watson, but Watson didn’t take his calls. He found a new mystery and he couldn’t wait to unlock it. He was giving a speech at Van Kirk Memorial Hospital when a nurse asked for his help. Nurse Alicia Santos has a patient she believed is responding to her in the longterm unit.

The patient was Lewis “Lucky” Collier. He has a stroke sixteen years ago. His wife was on a trip and she didn’t find him until a day later. By then, he was written off as comatose. He’s been in the longterm unit for the past sixteen years. He hasn’t had a visitor in ten.

His wife died not long after he was hospitalized. No one else had her commitment. It took Nurse Alicia for someone to finally start talking to him again. She quickly noticed that he was responding and she tried to tell the doctors at the hospital. She even told her fellow nurse on that floor.

They didn’t believe her that Lucky was responding. So, she waited until the great Dr. Watson was visiting her hospital to ask him about it.

He at least took her seriously. He looked into the patient. He found out his nickname is Lucky. He also learned that he hasn’t received EEG since he first came in. Watson believes that he had locked in syndrome and that he can respond. He can blink one eye. He sees everything. And he does mean everything.

Lucky has seen a killer nurse on his floor. He warned Alicia that the nurse was doing to kill someone on their floor. They weren’t sure if they could believe him. Until someone mysteriously dies that same day. Lucky was then moved to UHOP for better treatment.

He was away from the danger. Or at least that was the plan and it’s unfortunate that it didn’t work out that way. The evil nurse found out about him communicating with people with doctors. She was a traveling nurse and so she merely worked at UHop just to get close enough to inject something into her next victim – Lucky!

Lucky really does have the worse luck ever. The evil nurse injected with a paralytic. She didn’t kill him because that would alert everyone that he was telling the truth about a killer nurse. She gave him a paralytic to trap him in his body again.

Watson figured it out when Lucky wouldn’t open his eye to talk to them. His vitals were good. He lost his sole ability communicate. They needed to get that back for him. Watson contacted his detective friend. Detective Lestrand was willing to make an arrest as long as they got their witness back.

The team worked together. They found a way to bring Lucky out of the paralytic. They didn’t want to give the killer nurse a second chance.

She already showed her hand by targeting Lucky in the first place. They were able to get Lucky back with medical treatment, but he was going to need more to face trial. Ingrid said her mentor in medical school can put him in a clinical trial where his brain can be connected to an interface. The interface will allow Lucky to communicate just using his brain. There was just one problem.

Ingrid’s mentor was kicked out of a company he created. He had sponsors to help him get so far. They wanted profit and so they kicked out Schiff. Now, Schiff was getting drunk at 11 in the morning. Adam wanted to help him. He offered to call him.

Ingrid was complaining about it in a meeting when Beck went at her. He doesn’t believe she’s happy. He also suspected that she was asking for help when she said she couldn’t get Schiff interface and so Beck fixed it for her. He threatened the tech bros. And her mentor got back his life.

Lucky was soon approved for clinical trial. The deadly nurse tried flying to a country without extradition and so Sherlock called in a bomb threat.

There’s no way she’s getting to Vietnam now. Thank you Sherlock for getting justice. He hasn’t always been a good boy and he screwed over Mycroft right before he left. He gave Mycroft technology he knew he’d publish before he found its longterm effects. Now he’s going bankrupt.

And Mycroft wants take over the clinic.

THE END!
