In tonight’s Fire Country episode, Bode hated the recent attention. He was in a REMS commercial. CalFire posted an interview with him on their social media page. It was really taking off and he called for more funding. Bode was being so good that Sacramento was forgetting he ever wore orange.

It’s why Eve asked to talk at the Alumni Speaker Day. She also called in Cole Rodman. Cole and Bode were friends. They haven’t connected recently since Cole got out. He’s been focusing on his family. Bode has been focusing on his. Yet, Cole’s temper seemed to have returned.

Cole went to prison after accidentally killing a guy. He was at his son’s game when he noticed another parent was coming down hard on his boy. Cole then got in the other man’s face.

They got into a fight that resulted in the other man hitting his head. He later died from his injuries. Cole was sent to prison. He never tried to deny what he did only there was a reason why he was in the troubled inmates block. He was there long before Bode showed up. He never stopped fighting or fully ditched the attitude.

He had his moments at Three Rock too. Bode had been there to help him. The same goes for Eve and Manny right up until Three Rock burned down. Now, the place has changed.

They have chickens. They were growing their crops. Cole came back to be an inspiration to the new inmates. There was just one problem. Cole was angry and seeing Bode again made him angry. Cole accused Bode of having everything handed to him. From becoming a firefighter to REMS. It turns out Cole had applied for a job as a firefighter and he didn’t get it.

Cole even received a recommendation from Manny for the job. He still got turned down. There was no one pulling strings for him like they did for Bode and like Jake was attempting to do for Malcolm. Malcolm was back on his feet. He didn’t qualify to return to work so soon.

Drake County couldn’t hold onto his job for long. Jake promised to see if he could get him in Edgewater instead. He said he was a captain and he could pull strings for his brother. Only no one was pulling strings for Cole. Cole told everyone he works at a car dealership and yet he was begging for a mentorship job at Three Rock.

It really was begging in this case because he was willing to accept whatever money he could get. It didn’t sound like things were good at home. Being in prison was bad enough.

The fact he went away for killing guy must have him struggling and there was nothing anyone can do to help until he askes for it. Bode only found out about the firefighting job by talking to Manny. Manny knew it would be a sore subject. Eve was realizing the same when she heard that Cole was still in sales training. He tried to be a firefighter and not just at 72.

Cole got into an argument with Bode after they had a log cutting race. Bode beat him by one. Cole completely lost his cool when Bode won because he said everything was handed to him. Eve split them apart. She also reminded them that they were supposed to be setting an example. Bode had to leave for his shift.

Cole remained to finish the talk and he couldn’t hold it in. He heard they wanted to be firefighters. He said that might not happen. He then said he couldn’t do this and walked off. Eve saw in that moment how much firefighting meant to him. And what it cost now that it was gone.

Bode and Manny both had their hands busy with the job they love. There was a telephone pole that fell through the roof and trapped a woman under it. Her name is Shauna.

She had been in bed with Jeremy which was funny because she was married to Seth. Seth came home to find Jeremy in his robe with his wife still trapped under the pole. He was livid. He went after Jeremy. They had to be separated or else Manny was threatening to call the sheriff’s office. The firefighters soon had to expedite their rescue mission because Shauna was suffering was blacking out.

Shauna was rescued. She was taken to the hospital with her lover. Her husband saw how happy they looked and he knew the marriage was over. She’s been telling him in a thousand different ways. The same way that Bode knew something was up with Cole. Cole got fired from several jobs because they saw ex-con on a background check.

That’s all anyone saw when they looked at him or the others. It wasn’t just Cole struggling. Bode understood so he put together a video asking for an increase in firefighters because the same men doing the job were now being denied an official one.

But it came back to bite him when an internet troll revealed the he committed other crimes that he served time for.

Jake also went to Sharon to pull strings for Malcom. He tried Manny and Manny said no. Jake has never asked for anything, but he was asking for this.

Sharon was considering it when she wasn’t flirting with the mechanic that is. The one that came to fix a rig on his day off and who agreed to go motorcycle riding with Sharon later on in the night.

And Manny soon learned why Roberta was back. She has a brain aneurysm that could kill her at any moment so she wants to live. She wants a second chance with him and he was in a new relationship with Camille. He’s not sure what he should do here.

THE END!
