In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, Lucas and Simone were over. They were moving on with other people. They were both now sleeping with the first years. Which their roommates had to put up with. Amelia did it because Lucas was her nephew and she loves him. Kwan as well as Jules did it because Simone was paying part of the rent.

Still, they agreed to let Simone have guests. They never agreed that her boyfriend or friends with benefits or whatever he is gets to bring a suitcase to the house. He’s been living in the Seattle. Why didn’t bring the suitcase to his place then go over to Simone’s? Why did he go directly to her place after leaving the airport?

Wes just returned out of town from visiting his brother. The suitcase thing was odd. Simone just didn’t spot it at first because she had to go into work and work was crazy.

The first difficult case hit close to home. Evelyn Hunt suffered a stroke. She was in the park when it happened and bystanders called 911. She came in with her left side drooping. It looked worse than it was. Amelia quickly ruled it was a ministroke. She still ordered extra tests. Owen came down and started barking orders. And his mother was there to remind him of his tone.

Evelyn was a nurse. She wasn’t worried about what happened. She stopped drooping on one side. She was given medication and she felt better. She didn’t think Owen should worry.

She also didn’t want him to worry others. Like his own children or his sister. Evelyn was moved upstairs. Amelia also got pretty busy. She met up with Toni. Toni told her that her ex-wife called and wanted to meet up for lunch. The lunch proved to be a bigger thing that Toni had realized earlier. Her ex told her she wanted to get back together.

They share a child. They’ve been divorced less than a year. Toni was starting something with Amelia and Amelia told her she couldn’t decide for Toni. She couldn’t even fight for Toni unless that’s what she wanted.

She’s the one that has to decide her own future. Amelia liked what they have. She’ll miss it if its gone. She also didn’t want to break up a home in case Toni does still care for her ex-wife. Amelia got called back to Evelyn’s side. She suffered another stroke. Owen had been with her at the time so he pushed the alarm button.

Teddy also agreed to push off her own cases to be there for Owen. She may not be the daughter-in-law anymore, but even Evelyn must know by now the issue is Owen. It’s always Owen. He’s been divorced how many times? Owen was the strong silent type. He thought he was imitating his father.

Evelyn mentioned that his dad didn’t always tell her about his own cases. He was a doctor too. The difference between the two men was that Evelyn knew exactly who his father was. Communication or no communication. Owen never lets himself be fully known.

Evelyn needed surgery after her second stroke. Amelia tried to get the advance directive from him. Evelyn hasn’t changed hers in ten years and things might’ve changed. Only Owen refused to discussed it. He demanded that his mother gets taken in surgery immediately.

These things were still important at the end of the day. Amelia needed to know if she should let Evelyn die or become an organ donor. Owen wouldn’t discuss it because he refused to let his mind go there and so his mom was rushed into surgery with what she still had on file.

Owen couldn’t change things even if he wanted too once she was in surgery. During the procedure, Ben was running himself ragged looking for the million dollar gel they didn’t supposedly inject into Quinn Durston. Ben soon realized it was in Quinn when Kwan was benched for nearly a week following Quinn’s procedure.

Quinn was also making a recovery. The gel worked. Well, it worked until it didn’t because he had a pulmonary embolism. He keeps staying at the hospital and it won’t just be Ben that noticed something was off with the miracle that was Quinn.

Ben was so angry that his wife didn’t report Kwan. He’s gone off book several times himself. Each time, Bailey has always yelled at him for it and so she told him that she yelled at Kwan too. He made a mistake. He did it because his heart was in a good place. Lucas also lost a patient that day.

He got snappy at Dani. Wes told her don’t bother. He said Lucas was just using her. Simone agreed because she too felt used. Lucas often gets destructive when he’s depressed. The difference between Simone and Dani was that he did care about Simone. The care only turned into hatred recently.

Jo returned to work. She helped save a mother and baby. She trusted her instincts. It’s what’s going to keep her steady. She simply has to remember to stay listening to it.

Amelia also learned to trust her instinct. She told Toni she wished she kissed her back in med school. Amelia knows now that she had to fight for Toni. She made sure to do it after she saved Evelyn’s life. It was Owen who gave her the courage. He ruled to task a riskier option with his mother. It worked and it got his mom to come back to him.

Dani also either made a huge mistake or she got her revenge. She sadly lashed out at the wrong person. She reported to Richard what Kwan did because she claimed to be following protocol and she got both Bailey and Kwan in serious trouble. They might lose their license over this.

Jules at least was being professional and that was with the attendee she was dating.

And Simone asked Wes if he was using her too. He said he wasn’t. He wasn’t ready to talk about his brother and he said she’d be the first person once he was ready to talk to someone.

THE END!
