The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers hint that one love triangle may finally be over for good! B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell revealed why it’d be too cruel to continue, so let’s look at what he spilled in a new interview.
Fans have watched Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) deal with a torn heart many times over the years when it comes to Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).
However, Ridge ultimately realized Brooke was his true love, so he reunited with her and ended things with Taylor once again.
Now that Taylor is falling for married Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), some viewers might be worried about the fallout.
You can bet that Ridge will get protective when he finds out about Taylor and Deacon’s mutual attraction.
Ridge may confront Deacon and warn him to stay away from Taylor, so that might bring some concerns about whether he might become possessive and jealous.
Fortunately, according to Bradley Bell, there’s seemingly no reason to fret over Taylor falling back into Ridge’s arms.
Taylor has hopefully learned her lesson when it comes to Ridge, who considers Brooke his destiny and will always wind up back with her in the end.
“I felt I had to bring the Taylor/Brooke/Ridge triangle to a conclusion. It’s been decades, and at some point, Ridge can only be in the middle of something without being too cruel for so long,” Bell confirmed.
It’s good that even Bradley Bell sees the cruelty of having Taylor lose over and over.
That’s not an entertaining love triangle, so it’s a relief to know Bell’s moving on from it after all this time.
As for Ridge and Brooke’s marriage, it seems pretty solid.
Bell played up Brooke and Ridge as soulmates while admitting he placed Deacon in Taylor’s story as someone who could fully see her value.
“Brooke and Ridge, from year one, have been destined to be together, and Taylor has always been second place with Ridge for most of her life, so I wanted her to find a man who totally appreciates her for the knockout that she is, and it happens with Deacon,” Bell said.
Of course, since Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) is Deacon’s wife, that’s going to complicate Taylor and Deacon’s connection as things grow hotter between them!
