The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester Finnegan) is at the center of a huge storyline, which is where she’s been so many times since her B&B debut back in 2008.
In a new interview with People, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood reflected on her time on the show so far and shared what it’s like juggling work with family life.
Since Wood is the mother of five boys, she’s definitely got her hands full at home!
However, Wood insisted it’s all about finding balance and still enjoying her time in “mama mode.”
It’s common for Wood to go from memorizing dialogue to playing games with her kids and back again.
Although soaps often come with a heavy workload and can be quite demanding, Wood pointed out that the hectic schedule isn’t totally relentless.
It keeps things a little more flexible for Wood, who is grateful for the downtime with her husband and children.
“Being on the show is fantastic because you can bang out a bunch of episodes…but it’s not every day,” Wood said.
That said, Wood acknowledged there are certain downsides to working on a daytime drama as well.
It’s a difficult business that leads to criticism and other challenges.
“Of course, when you throw yourself into the industry, it can be tough, especially in the soap world because you put yourself on screen and people are going to nitpick you,” Wood confessed. “But if you’ve got the mental fortitude and you’re strong enough to persevere, this is a wonderful job.”
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood definitely seems like she’s learned to roll with any fan feedback and keep doing her thing.
It’s been 18 years since Wood made her first B&B appearance, but she’s still delivering great performances and remains a key character.
Now Steffy has kicked off a storyline involving the fallout of her one-night stand with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor).
Wood appeared to share how she felt when she learned about that story, which is on the verge of delivering a major baby mess.
“It wasn’t just a storyline, it was about consequences and relationships and what Steffy does when suddenly life looks nothing like what she expected,” Wood said.
