The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) past has been haunting her now that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has popped the question.
Sally didn’t give Billy an answer right away and ultimately opened up to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about her history being a factor.
“I was engaged before in LA a couple times to the same guy.
His name was Wyatt and he kept breaking things off with me to be with this other woman,” Sally admitted in the April 30 episode.
Of course, Sally was talking about Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), one of her former flames from her days on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Flo Logan (Katrina Bowden) was Wyatt’s high school sweetheart and the woman Sally was in competition with for his heart.
Sally also confessed that she did things she’s not proud of to try and keep Wyatt.
Although Sally didn’t go into the details with Audra, B&B fans will recall how Sally faked a terminal illness, held Flo captive and even plotted to trap Wyatt with a pregnancy.
Sally was definitely more of a wild schemer during her time on The Bold and the Beautiful, but she’s matured a lot since trading Los Angeles for Genoa City.
Now Sally is expecting a baby with Billy, but her past is still weighing on her.
Sally used to feel like no one ever chose her, but Billy’s choosing her with this engagement ring.
Although part of Sally fears Billy will change his mind, she took the leap and accepted his proposal by the end of the April 30 episode.
However, that doesn’t mean it’ll be smooth sailing for Billy and Sally from here on out.
Audra clearly had some concerns about Billy’s proposal being impulsive, especially since Sally had major issues with him not too long ago.
There’s no guarantee Billy and Sally’s relationship is meant to last.
Sally and Billy could co-parent this baby if they split up romantically, so that’s a possibility to keep in mind.
Regardless, now that Sally has mentioned Wyatt, some fans would no doubt love to see him on Y&R.
Wyatt isn’t currently airing on B&B, so maybe he could take a job in GC after a tough breakup with Flo.
Sally might be drawn to Wyatt again despite their messy, painful history.
It could stir up some jealousy on Billy’s end and lead to more problems.
Even if Wyatt eventually gets paired with someone else instead, there’s room for him on canvas.
Back in February, Darin Brooks told TV Insider that he’d be open to joining another soap, so perhaps Genoa City could become Wyatt’s new home – even for a temporary stint.
That said, there have also been some rumblings about Darin Brooks returning to B&B for all the Spencer family drama that’s going down, so we’ll see how things play out.
