The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, April 20, reveals that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will get some crushing news and break down in tears, so Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will be concerned about her.
At the GCAC, Nate will overhear Dr. Stephanie Simmons’ (Vivica A. Fox) name and identify himself as Olivia Winters’ (Tonya Lee Williams) son, so she’ll gush over Nate growing up to be such a fine-looking man.
Stephanie and Nate will sit down for dinner together, so that’ll give her a chance to mention that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) is her son.
Nate will be taken aback by that information, but he won’t divulge his negative history with Holden.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Lily will bump into Holden at Society, so they’ll sit down and talk about the shock of finding out they’re related through Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore).
Holden will reflect on being the kid with the dead dad growing up and rant about being robbed of his years with Malcolm.
Lily will seem hopeful about Holden and Malcolm eventually having a relationship, but Holden will know finding a match and getting Malcolm treatment is the priority.
Since Lily will want to tell Nate and Devon about their new family connection, Holden will agree to be there when she tells them.
Lily will summon Nate and Devon to Society soon after, so they’ll be surprised to learn Holden is being included in this meeting.
After they all sit down together, Devon and Nate will learn Malcolm is Holden’s biological father.
Lily will spill some of the details, but she’ll leave out the part about Malcolm needing a bone marrow donor match.
Since Nate and Devon will have to wrap their heads around this Holden and Lily half-sibling shocker, Holden will leave them to talk alone.
Once Holden meets up with Stephanie, he’ll be surprised to learn Nate didn’t badmouth him earlier.
Holden will acknowledge that he’s got a rocky past with certain people in Genoa City and make it clear that he’s a family outsider.
Back with Devon and Nate, they’ll push for the rest of the story regarding Malcolm.
Lily will get a phone call from Malcolm and have to step away, so that’ll lead to his confession that neither one of the twins is a bone marrow donor match.
After Lily disconnects and cries in front of Nate and Devon, they’ll try to comfort her despite their confusion.
At home, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will ask Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) about the results of a second pregnancy test she took off-screen, so she’ll confirm it was positive, too.
Billy and Sally will realize this is really happening, so she’ll question how he feels.
When Billy keeps insisting the focus should be on Sally’s feelings, that’ll frustrate her.
Billy will finally admit that although he gets why Sally confided in Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) first, he wishes he could’ve been the person she leaned on.
It’ll seem like Sally was scared to tell Billy about the pregnancy, so he’ll wonder what that says about them as a couple.
Sally will acknowledge that part of her fear stemmed from the loss of Baby Ava, so Billy will get that and reflect on the loss of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) as well.
There’ll be some talk about whether Sally’s ready to risk falling in love with another baby and getting her heart broken again if it all goes wrong.
In the end, Sally will get Billy’s reassurance that he’s by her side and that they’ll be a team, but they’ll save any further baby discussions for later.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will work to give Sally the support she needs, so stay tuned.
