The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, July 13, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will plan to get payback on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will turn down the chance to join him.
At Society, Billy and Kyle will surprise themselves by having a family bonding session.
Since Kyle will want Victor to pay for setting all the Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) chaos in motion, he’ll tempt Billy by suggesting they could team up.
Kyle will point out that Billy could tell him what methods have failed and what countermoves Victor made in the past.
Billy could be Kyle’s secret weapon, so Kyle will make his pitch and hope they can take Victor down together.
There was a time when Billy would’ve jumped at the chance to go after Victor, but he’ll turn Kyle down because of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and the baby.
Billy will express doubt that Kyle can actually succeed when so many others have failed, but Kyle will seem confident Victor is indeed going to face a downfall.
At the hospital, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will convince Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) to go home and get some rest while he sleeps.
Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) will pop up as Diane’s leaving, so she’ll be glad to see Jack alive and awake.
Jack will sense that Abby’s troubled, so she’ll hint about Devon Winters (Bryton James) going through a rough time.
After Jack offers a pep talk, Abby will get confirmation that he’s really OK and head out.
Once Jack is alone, Y&R spoilers say he’ll flash back to Patty attacking him, but he’ll take comfort in some flashbacks of his father, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas).
At the Abbott mansion, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will join Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) as they all have a girls’ night.
That’ll bring some talk about Jack’s recovery and some memories of John.
After raiding the wine cellar and the kitchen, Traci, Ashley and Lauren will be chatting when Diane appears.
Diane will get emotional over her homecoming and will realize just how scared she’s been up to now.
Abby will also join the party, so she’ll suggest taking a group selfie to send to Jack.
Back in the hospital, Jack will look at the pic on his phone and continue to find strength through his family.
