Losing that connection is going to be a devastating blow for Phyllis and could lead to her deciding she’s done with love for good!
This heartbreak could make Phyllis choose to just focus on fixing her family and accept that she’s doomed to remain single forever.
Of course, Y&R could eventually offer up a romantic reboot instead, especially with Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor taking over as the show’s new head writers.
O’Connor and Giddens might have some new plans for Phyllis romantically.
It’ll be a shame to lose Michelle Stafford and Roger Howarth’s incredible on-screen chemistry, but sometimes that’s just how things go on soaps.
Matt’s past has always been an issue for some viewers, so it might be better to just let Phyllis start fresh with a new hunk instead.
We could imagine some handsome man coming to town and sweeping Phyllis off her feet when she’s given up on love.
Phyllis may change her mind about pursuing another relationship if sparks fly once again and she finally gets a proper pairing that’s not problematic.
