The Young and the Restless (Y&R) reveal that there’s one potential pairing that people haven’t been able to stop talking about on social media.
The possibility of a particular soapy duo getting together has been a major topic of conversation.
Of course, we’re talking about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).
Despite the fact that Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is currently dating Sienna, some fans have been stuck on the idea that Sienna and Nick might get together.
Josh Morrow weighed in on this possibility during a Michael Fairman live chat earlier in May and admitted he just didn’t see it happening.
Since Nick is such a great dad, Morrow was reluctant to think that his character would ever do that to Noah.
Even so, some viewers continued to speculate that something romantic might play out between Sienna and Nick.
It’s easy to see the potential for some new chemistry crackling if the show really went for it.
However, Y&R Head Writer Josh Griffith decided to shut down all the Nick and Sienna affair talk once and for all.
Griffith was crystal clear that Nick’s loyalty to Noah matters too much for him to get swept up in anything with Sienna.
Nick may not be in the best place mentally right now since he’s an addict, but he knows better than to cross that line.
“Even in the throes of addiction, Nick is too good a father,” Griffith insisted. “He could never betray his son that way… Put that rumor to rest!”
Besides, Nick needs to focus on his recovery since he’s facing one of the biggest challenges of his life.
If you thought Nick hit rock bottom by overdosing and nearly dying, you may be surprised by what’s in store.
Josh Griffith hinted about “different levels of rock bottom” instead and suggested that it won’t be simple for Nick to fix his broken life.
Although Nick knows he needs to conquer this addiction and get healthy again, he’s going to struggle to make that happen.
That obviously won’t leave a lot of time for romance anyway, so it’s just as well that Sienna isn’t an option for Nick based on Josh Griffith’s comments.
