The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that love tends to bring plenty of challenges on the CBS soap, but it’s always rewarding for the couples who get it right.
Some pairings are on the verge of important turning points, so let’s talk about five romantic shakeups on the horizon.
1) Lily opens heart to Cane
During the week of May 25-29, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will see another side of Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Cane will continue to pull Lily closer, so this is all building to a romantic surrender.
It looks like Cane will deliver a grand gesture at some point and really seal the deal.
Whatever the case, Lily will truly open her heart to Cane soon, so that could give them a fresh start as a couple.
2) Abby’s vow to Devon
There’s been some tension between Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) lately, but it seems the conflict will lift in the coming episodes.
Abby may express how proud she is of Devon for visiting Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and agreeing that he’d at least try to forgive her.
Y&R fans will hear Abby make a vow to Devon on May 27, so it sounds like things will be looking up for their marriage.
Abby may promise that she’s not going anywhere and remind Devon that they’re always a team, even when they hit rough patches.
3) Nikki and Victor’s breakthrough
Over with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), they’ll have some good reasons to come together soon.
Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) fentanyl crisis will be the most critical one since his life will soon be in jeopardy.
After Nick’s drug use results in another scary medical episode, Victor and Nikki will team up to help their son get a grip.
Nikki and Victor could have a romantic breakthrough as well once they’re on the same page about tough love for Nick.
4) Holden and Claire can’t deny spark
Once Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) return from New York, they won’t be able to deny their spark any longer.
After hitting the sheets again on that trip, it should make it downright impossible for Claire and Holden to deny what’s happening between them.
Holden and Claire may ultimately agree to try being a real couple, so stay tuned to see how that plan will work out for them.
5) Jack and Diane’s new beginning
As for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), they hopefully have a new beginning in their future.
There’ll be more Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) drama to work through along with a scare involving Diane’s disappearance, but Jack and Diane seem to be endgame.
It’s just a matter of conquering a few more obstacles and reaching the turning point that’s brewing.
