The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will get some unexpected news once Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) finally lands back in Genoa City. Cane may find himself on an emotional rollercoaster once he reunites with Lily and learns the whole truth.
Y&R fans know Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) claims he brought Lily on board with his plan to “kidnap” her along with the twins.
Since there’s been a lot of Newman family speculation about what Victor promised Lily in return, there are good reasons to believe Victor’s telling the truth about her cooperation.
That means Lily is a huge part of the pressure Cane’s under.
Cane has been a nervous wreck ever since he found out Victor took Lily, Mattie Ashby (last played by Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie Ashby (last played by Noah Alexander Gerry).
Of course, this ruse has gone on longer than Victor and Lily intended thanks to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who chloroformed Cane and took control of the Newman empire.
Cane’s been living a nightmare and recently poured his heart out to Lily in a video message since he’s so distraught.
How will Cane feel once Lily reenters the picture and reveals there was never any danger at all?
Phyllis was right about it being a bluff since Victor would never do anything to harm Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) family.
However, Lily’s involvement in Victor’s fiasco will surely catch Cane off guard and leave him wondering how to feel.
Part of Cane may be angry with Lily for putting him through this terrible ordeal.
Cane may wonder how Lily would feel if the situation were reversed and she was left in the dark about their kids’ safety.
That said, another part of Cane may realize he drove Lily to sink to this level.
Cane may be so relieved that he doesn’t care and accept that Lily was trying to give him a wake-up call, which clearly worked.
There could be a thaw between Lily and Cane if she watches his video and sees just how much this mess affected him.
If Cane is understanding about Lily partnering up with Victor, that could help them mend fences, too.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily will ultimately resurface following this faux abduction drama and may have a big confession to make!
