The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Devon Hamilton Winters’ (Bryton James) resentment towards Mariah Copeland (Camyrn Grimes) could spiral into a bona fide mental health meltdown.
The man can’t seem to find it in his heart to forgive or understand the distress that Mariah was facing when she chose to kidnap his son, Dominic Winters Chancellor (Ethan Ray Park), and it’s spilling into all aspects of his life.
During the Monday, July 13 episode, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) went to visit her Uncle Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) in the hospital.
The man landed in the medical care unit after being brutally stabbed by Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
After a debrief on his life and condition, the conversation turned to her, and she revealed that her husband wasn’t doing so well.
The Young and the Restless spoilers note that by the time the weekend hits, Devon’s sister and cousin, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), will worry about him, and it’s clear he’ll once again lash out about something.
Devon isn’t over the moon that Lily is getting closer to her ex-husband, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), and he’s equally displeased about the fact that she’s eager to bond with her newfound half-brother, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens).
Devon had a crash out when he learned Cane would be running Chancellor Industries, a company Lily recently acquired, so when he finds out that Holden has been offered a job there, he will likely clash with his sister again.
Devon can’t seem to get past what Cane’s done, and Lily feels it has more to do with Mariah and what she’s done, rather than Cane.
After all, Cane selfishly donated his bone marrow to save her biological father and Devon’s Uncle, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore).
Devon fluffed off Cane’s transplant sacrifice, even though anyone in their right mind could see that it was a major thing he did.
This pent-up anger isn’t only affecting Devon’s relationship with Lily, but also his marriage to Abby.
The once-happy couple is always at odds now as Abby believes that Mariah is the best place possible after kidnapping Dom (a mental health facility where she can get help), while Devon believes the woman should be in prison.
The demands of running a conglomerate, coupled with family balance, plus Devon’s issues, could end up exploding in everyone’s face. Is Devon headed for a major mental health scare?
Devon is a strong-minded man who generally keeps his cool, so if he does something off-key, this could not only affect his marriage but also his relationships with his family.
Will he just explode on someone or do something far more drastic? Could he end up spiraling while he’s spending time with Dominic?
Devon is also a cheater by nature, so will he seek solace in the arms of another woman? An action like this is sure to blow up his marriage to Abby, for good.
Either way, being this agitated with Mariah may have Devon isolated from everyone, as Lily, Nate, or Abby can’t seem to get through to him.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that, as Patty is locked away, Diane may feel as if the worst is over; however, a new, fresh nightmare may be on the horizon.
