The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will have some terrible timing when he pops up at Crimson Lights and asks Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) an important question.
Matt will want something that may be downright impossible for someone in Sharon’s position to give!
Although Matt has already been seeking a fresh start and trying to make amends for his past behavior, he’ll apparently feel the need for a one-on-one conversation with Sharon.
Since Matt has hurt Sharon worse than just about anyone, Y&R spoilers say he’ll want to apologize for his transgressions and see if she’s willing to move past them.
Sharon previously pushed Matt to leave town since he was considering that not too long ago.
Although Sharon thought it’d be better for everyone if Matt took off, he opted to stick around for a romance with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and the new job she’s offered him.
Sharon defended Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sienna Bacall’s (Tamara Braun) decision to return to Los Angeles, but she refused to let Matt believe he had enough power to run them out of town.
Instead, Sharon sees it more like Sienna and Noah were taking charge of their own lives and doing what was best for them.
That said, it’s still Matt’s fault that Sharon’s son isn’t around anymore.
Plus, Matt’s responsible for the chain reaction that led Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) down this awful, drug-addicted path.
Considering Nick’s latest ordeal and rehab struggles, Sharon will have more reasons to lash out at Matt.
Sharon certainly can’t forget about all the horrible things Matt’s done to her over the years either.
Matt was truly monstrous, so he’ll acknowledge that and plead for forgiveness in the August 19 episode.
Once Matt’s pouring his heart out and asking Sharon if she can forgive him, she’ll have to figure out the right response.
Sharon doesn’t seem ready to pardon Matt for how terrible he’s been – and that may not change just because Matt grovels.
Instead, Sharon may unleash her wrath over this whole Nick situation and point out that the consequences of Matt’s mistakes are still affecting the people she loves.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Sharon may reject Matt’s request on the spot and make it clear that forgiveness just isn’t possible, so stay tuned to see if bad news is ahead for Matt.
