The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, July 27, reveal that Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) will find herself in need of some support, so Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will step up for her.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will also face a tough challenge that could affect her relationship with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
For starters, Abby will hope that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) was able to get through to Devon Winters (Bryton James) – at least enough to convince him to confide in his wife.
Devon is bottling things up, but Abby wants to understand why he’s pulling away and spiraling into a depressed state.
Abby can tell this is about more than just Devon’s feelings regarding Dominic Winters’ (Ethan Ray Clark) abduction and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) not getting a prison sentence, but she can’t help if she doesn’t know what’s really going on.
Devon seems like he’s struggling with his self-worth and dealing with things he doesn’t even understand himself.
Although Devon may try to confide in Abby somewhat, it won’t be long until he clams up again.
In fact, Devon might lash out at Abby for pressuring him to talk when he’s not ready.
There’s a good chance Devon will stomp off to be alone and leave Abby looking unsettled when Daniel comes along at Society.
Daniel will see that Abby is distraught, so he’ll offer a sympathetic ear.
Abby may take Daniel up on that offer since she’s frustrated over Devon pushing her away and could use someone to lean on.
As for Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Y&R spoilers say he’ll have a big decision to make.
After hearing Billy babble about the secret he believes Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) is keeping inside Chancellor, Cane will worry about Billy fixating on this instead of the actual job he’s being offered.
If Cane refuses to give Billy the position after all, that could certainly infuriate Billy.
Whatever the case, Cane will hear some alarm bells going off when it comes to Billy and the obsessed path he’s headed down.
Next, Sally may not be able to put off some difficult news of her own.
Since Sally is planning on telling Billy about the Newman Media agreement over lunch, she may follow through on that plan and leave him blindsided.
Billy may think it was a mistake for Sally to trust Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on this deal and agree with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) about the potential for disaster.
The fact that Sally delayed her confession could add to the tension ahead with Billy, too.
Nevertheless, Sally is the one in charge of Spectra-Charles, not Billy.
That’s something Sally will hope Billy can respect since she feels striking a deal with Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was for the best.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy and Sally will have more obstacles to conquer during their engagement, so stay tuned.
