The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, September 28, hint that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will stumble upon an unsettling sight.
It’ll leave Nick with questions and concerns about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) getting tangled up with her old scheming partner, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Like most of Genoa City, Nick doesn’t trust Cane after all the “Aristotle Dumas” shadiness.
Cane’s mystery party in Nice led to multiple people losing their lives, so Nick hasn’t forgotten all that drama.
Plus, Nick knows Phyllis went down a bad road the last time she teamed up with Cane.
It led to Phyllis’ Newman takeover, which totally blew up her relationship with her kids.
That’s why alarm bells will go off in Nick’s head when he spots Phyllis and Cane together at the GCAC.
It’ll leave Nick worried that Phyllis is letting herself get pulled into some twisted web again.
Nick will wait until Cane leaves before he confronts Phyllis over this mysterious meeting.
After Nick interrogates Phyllis about why she’s been talking to Cane again, he’ll push her to be honest about what’s really going on.
Of course, Nick might be making a big fuss over nothing.
It could be as simple as Cane stopping by Phyllis’ table for a tense discussion about staying in their own lanes.
Cane is focused on his future with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) right now, so he might warn Phyllis not to do anything to mess with that.
Then again, the discussion could be related to business if Phyllis and Cane wind up discussing Arabesque.
Regardless, Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will face Nick’s quiz in the aftermath of her Cane interaction, so she’ll have to decide how much news to divulge.
Nick may remind Phyllis that he cares about her and doesn’t want to see her trade one problem for another.
Although Nick should be glad to hear Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) left town, he won’t want Phyllis getting drawn back in Cane’s direction either.
The week of September 28-October 2 will also put Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in familiar territory, so stay tuned for more fighting over Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and the Jabot-Vibrante feud.
