The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) dark side will surface as he concocts a plan to end Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) for good.
Nick is done playing games with Matt, and it looks like during the week of July 20, he’ll take matters into his own hands.
On Young and the Restless’ Friday, July 17 episode, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick have a deep conversation about Matt at Crimson.
The man had spent years torturing the couple, and Nick admitted he spent a lot of his time recently worrying about Matt being in Genoa City.
The topic had even come up about Nick taking matters into his own hands and offing Matt.
It’s hard for Sharon and Nick not to be traumatized by Matt’s past actions, even though he’s sworn up and down that he’s changed.
Still, Sharon was also quick to point out that Matt had saved Nick, right before her eyes.
Still, considering the games Matt has played in the past, Nick often wonders if Matt did that as part of a bigger ambush in the future.
Fast forward to later on in the show, Nick and Sharon went to visit Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) at the Shadow Room.
Of course, they walked right into an explosive fight between Noah and Matt.
Matt was having a conversation with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), and this triggered Noah.
Matt announced he was leaving Genoa City, sick and tired of constantly being accused of deceit and not being able to live a normal life.
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, July 20, suggest that Nick will believe Matt is blowing smoke by this departure declaration.
He’ll think Matt is just saying he’s leaving GC, only to strike back when they least expect it. Nick’s tired of constantly looking over his shoulder.
Plus, not that one person can be blamed for Nick’s addiction, but Matt played a huge role in why Nick turned to pills and fell off his rehab wagon.
Nick may feel as if all his problems would be solved if he could just end Matt’s life, but little does he know that it would just create a slew of other issues.
There’s been a lot of talk of Nick digging into his dark side and concocting a plan to end Matt for good, so will this all play out during the week of July 20?
Nick is one of the good ones, but he also has a hero complex and may believe that unaliving Matt would be a sacrifice he’s willing to do to save his family from the villain.
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Nick will have some intense moments as he not only battles the demons of addiction, but an inner voice that tells him to strike at Matt first, before he can do anything else to the Newmans.
