The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may have some operating room complications ahead of him. Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) may end up panicking after a sudden setback, so let’s talk about Nick’s scary situation.
Following Nick’s car crash and hospitalization in the January 6 episode, his loved ones learned he suffered a fractured left fibula.
Nick thankfully showed no signs of other serious injuries or internal damage – at least at the time.
However, there’s always a possibility of something the doctors missed.
It’s also possible that Nick will experience some complications in the OR or perhaps during his post-op recovery.
There’s even a chance Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) could somehow target Nick at the hospital, but it looks like he’ll be a prisoner on the ranch property again soon.
Regardless, Y&R spoilers certainly seem to be pointing in a troubling direction. On January 9, a setback of some sort is indeed on the way for Nick.
Nick might develop a blood clot or even just show disturbing symptoms that he didn’t show before.
It could leave the doctors scrambling to diagnose whatever’s ailing Nick and save his life before it’s too late.
Maybe Nick could even have a near-death experience and dream of Sharon.
Could this give Nick a nudge to finally seize the day and give Sharon the full commitment she deserves?
Nick and Sharon haven’t had much time to devote to their connection lately, so they’re still stuck in limbo.
Sharon and Nick are a little more than friends, but they haven’t officially reentered romantic relationship territory yet.
Although Nick and Sharon probably thought they had plenty of time to figure things out, this potential medical drama could bring some terrifying moments and remind them that life is short.
Sharon could fly into total panic mode if Nick takes a turn for the worse.
Nick’s condition didn’t seem life-threatening early on, but that could change and leave Sharon freaking out.
If Nick does face some complications due to his surgery or hidden crash injuries, there might be a silver lining.
Once Nick’s OK in the end, he might tell Sharon that they have to hold on tight to each other and never let go!
After Matt is finally dealt with for good, that’ll free up time for Sharon and Nick to continue down a romantic road.
