The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) may be shifting her attention from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to someone else who’s becoming special to her.
Patty was intrigued by Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) from the moment they locked eyes in the coffeehouse, but their connection is about to grow even stronger.
After Matt summons Patty for a talk in the May 18 episode, he’ll confess to feeling a certain kinship with her.
Matt will suggest it’s like they’re the same person and will relate to Patty’s desire for redemption following her past mistakes.
Of course, Matt will make it clear that he doesn’t judge Patty despite the long list of crimes Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) offered up.
Unlike Phyllis and the rest of Genoa City, Matt isn’t scared off by all the horrors of Patty’s past.
Matt is a handsome, charming guy, so maybe Patty could be falling for him a little bit.
Patty might trade her Jack obsession for a Matt fixation depending on how things play out.
Regardless, Patty will do her best to turn Matt against Phyllis and will vow to be in his corner.
Although Matt doesn’t really know who to trust in his amnesiac state, Patty will assure Matt that she can be counted on.
It looks like Patty will have a chance to prove it when she comes to Matt’s rescue later.
Matt’s life will take another shocking turn since it looks like he’ll end up bound and gagged in his suite at the GCAC.
This may be part of Phyllis’ attempt to regain the upper hand or maybe one of Matt’s other enemies will ambush him there.
Regardless, it seems Matt will become a hostage until Patty comes along to free him.
Since Marcy Goldman will play a hotel maid who shares scenes with Matt and Patty in Y&R’s May 21 episode, she may be the one who lets Patty in his room.
Patty may make up some excuse about spicing things up with her man to explain Matt’s tied-up state.
One way or another, Patty seems poised to come through for Matt and gain his trust even more after saving him.
If Patty does become obsessed with Matt, he’d better watch out!
Patty can be awfully dangerous despite her claims of being reformed, so it’ll be interesting to see where the story goes from here.
