The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) may decide she’d like to go beyond friendship with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Matt has been drawn to Patty as an ally and pal, but it may not be long until Patty pushes for more.
Although Matt thought he could trust Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she betrayed him in the end.
Patty is working to prove she’s the one Matt should trust instead, so their alliance is deepening.
In the May 21 episode, Patty freed hostage Matt following Phyllis’ decision to tie him up and gag him.
Patty ultimately trashed Phyllis for using Matt as a bargaining chip and insisted Matt should spend more time with her instead.
Although Patty suggested she’s the only friend Matt will ever need, friendship may not be where it ends for these two.
Once Patty takes Matt to a new hideout and bonds with him there, she may think they should take things to the next level.
Patty obviously views herself as quite the seductress after what happened on the yacht with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Matt also happens to be pretty impressionable in his current state, so it may not take much for Patty to get him into bed.
If Patty seduces Matt and they hit the sheets, Y&R could make them a real couple – at least for a while.
That could pave the way for Matt to potentially get in over his head with unhinged Patty as she fixates on him.
However, if Matt reverts to his true monstrous self at some point following a memory flood, it’ll be interesting to see what that means for his relationship with Patty.
Matt might still care for Patty as someone who’s been loyal to him, but it’s also possible that he’ll turn on her.
After all, the old Matt is someone who likes to run the show.
Patty may be too clingy and possessive for Matt’s taste, so that could put her in danger if he decides to cut her loose.
Whatever the case, Matt and Patty have an interesting connection that can only lead to unsettling news, so stay tuned for all the drama.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Patty will make Matt her pet project and make a bigger mess for the Newmans in the meantime.
