For starters, Phyllis will continue her quest for Matt answers as the week of August 31-September 4 gets underway.
Since Matt has vanished, Phyllis will be working every angle she can think of to find him.
As for Matt, he’ll be busy meeting with imprisoned Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk), which can’t be good news!
Patty is a nutty wildcard, so whatever her involvement is with Matt is surely going to spell trouble.
Considering all the hints that keep dropping about Matt’s true colors coming out, there are plenty of reasons to be concerned about Phyllis.

Matt may eventually reach out to Phyllis with a meeting spot and summon her to the motel where he’ll apparently be staying.
Then again, maybe Phyllis will track Matt down another way.

It’ll bring a sweet scene of relief for Phyllis since she couldn’t be sure Matt was even still alive until this point.

Whether Matt shares Patty’s part in his plans or not, Phyllis will presumably find out Matt has a scheme in motion.
Phyllis will hide Matt’s location and what he’s working on, but is she making a mistake to trust him?
The old Matt was a master manipulator and incredibly dangerous, so he could snap on Phyllis at any time.
It feels like Matt may already be transitioning back into a scarier version of himself.
Matt will still be soft with Phyllis, but it could be an act or something that’ll go away at the first sign of disloyalty.
