The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Newman) may have a few things to say to Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) motel drug buddy when they ultimately cross paths.
Although Sharon will have sympathy over what Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) is going through, that doesn’t mean she’ll approve of Nick bonding with her.
There’s no denying that Marie was a negative influence on Nick in their recent scenes together.
Nick was trying hard to fight his addiction and even flushed his drugs until Marie tempted him with more.
However, the story will obviously shift following Marie’s overdose, Nick’s rock bottom and phone call to Sharon in Y&R’s August 12 episode.
Nick is about to head back to rehab – and once Marie gets checked out at the hospital, she may land there as well.
At some point, Sharon will surely have a chance to interact with Marie and perhaps get some things off her chest.
While Sharon is visiting Nick’s rehab facility to check on his progress, she may cross paths with Marie or even seek her out.
Sharon is a trained mental health professional and knows the toll that addiction can take on a person.
Marie should get some compassion from Sharon, but Sharon will obviously be protective of Nick first and foremost.
Sharon may warn Marie to stay away from Nick, especially if she doubts that Marie is willing to put in the work and fight to get clean.
The last thing Nick needs is Marie leading him down the road to temptation again, so Sharon may point that out.
It’s always a bad idea for two struggling addicts to lean on each other the way Marie and Nick did.
Sharon may insist that Marie needs to steer clear of Nick – for Marie’s own good as well as Nick’s since they both have to focus on their recoveries right now.
Even after the rehab portion of this story is over, you can bet Sharon is going to be wary of Marie and the tempting path she could take Nick back down.
This feels like the setup for a soapy love triangle involving Nick’s protective ex and the intriguing new woman who’s blown into his life.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon and Marie will have to sort out some drama, so stay tuned for any troubling news to come.
