The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of May 25-29 reveal that some unsettling curveballs are coming up along with some angry meltdowns and leaked shockers.
Multiple Genoa City residents will get tangled up in drama, so let’s talk about all the action.
Following Patty Williams’ (Stacy Haiduk) decision to free Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will find herself without a hostage and without the leverage she needed to negotiate a deal.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will surely blow up at Phyllis over this news since this was their best chance at getting to Matt.
However, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may push Nick to put his recovery before everything else, including the continued Matt hunt.
Nick is still on drugs and in bad shape whether he wants to admit it or not.
It’s clear that Nick needs to make a real rehab commitment and devote himself to getting better.
In the meantime, Y&R spoilers suggest Victor will keep searching for Matt with the help of his security team.
As for Patty, she may find Matt a new hiding spot and maintain that she’s someone he can truly count on.
Next, it appears Patty may change her opinion of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) after he walks away from their Victor takedown partnership.
Patty may ultimately start to view Jack as an enemy, so things could get risky for him as well as Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and those closest to them.
Meanwhile, Patty might determine that Matt is the only person who can see beyond her flaws and wild history.
If Patty becomes obsessed with Matt, she could manipulate him to her advantage while plotting against Jack and the Abbotts.
Over with Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), it seems he may finally put the Los Angeles secret in Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) hands.
Will Claire use the deceased art dealer cover-up against Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver)?
Even if Claire just pushes Audra’s buttons over what she’s learned, more tension could erupt between them soon.
After Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) makes it back to Genoa City, she’ll no doubt check on Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and perhaps plant a few more kisses.
Cane may get some hope for a real reunion with Lily and a bedroom session once he’s fully recovered.
