The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, June 11, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will do something that catches Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) off guard.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also fume and deliver a warning after Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) shares some big news.
At the GCAC, Lily will let Billy know that Victor gave her back Chancellor and that she’s putting Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) in charge.
A fuming Billy will insist that’s a mistake since Cane has proven he can’t be trusted.
Although Billy will warn that Cane is going to let Lily down and break her heart again, she’ll be adamant about making her own choices.
Outside the park café, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will want to buy Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) lunch to thank him for the chief of staff job recommendation.
Stephanie will admit she took the position and will give Nate another nudge to get back into medicine, but he’ll insist he’s happy where he is.
At Newman Enterprises, Phyllis will grumble to her portrait now that her life has blown up.
Victor will ultimately arrive with an offer for Phyllis, who’ll be taken aback when he suggests she could have what’s left of Arabesque.
Phyllis will wonder what the catch is, but Victor will suggest the company could be hers free and clear.
Arabesque could be a good fixer-upper company for someone ambitious like Phyllis, so Victor will give her the option to take over.
As for why Victor’s willing to extend this peace offering, he’ll admit he’s commending her on her temporary win. Victor will also be doing this because Phyllis helped save Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) life, which is something he’ll never forget.
Despite Phyllis’ initial skepticism, she’ll think the offer is legit when she fills Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) in later. Lauren will worry about it being some sort of trap since Victor knows how to hold a grudge, but Phyllis won’t see the point in that.
Phyllis will truly believe they can turn things around at Arabesque and use the plans they were working on at Summers Conglomerate, so Lauren will decide she’s in.
Phyllis will eventually meet with Victor about the transfer papers, so he’ll mention that he’s working on something involving Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and seek assurance that she won’t interfere.
Other Y&R spoilers say Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will share his story at a meeting with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) by his side.
Nick’s emotions will pour out as he talks about his addiction and how he has to turn his life around for his family as well as himself.
Nick, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will eventually be summoned to the Newman ranch for a discussion about Matt, so they’ll join Victor, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) there.
Victor will plan to have Adam help Matt make his first contact with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Matt will worry about Cane finding out about his history, but Adam will think Cane would probably want to buy him a beer for going after the Newmans.
Victor will get that Matt still makes everyone uneasy, but he’ll need Matt to walk around in public like a normal Genoa City resident for his plan to work.
