The Young and the Restless Thursday, October 1 Recap: Lily Keeps Cancer Secret from Cane – Adam Searches for Nick

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, October 1, reveals that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will hide major news about her health from Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will also go on the hunt for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) since his family will worry he might use again, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.

At the Newman ranch, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will rant about it being the wrong decision to tell Nick about Marie Kirkland’s (Jade Harlow) latest overdose.

Adam will argue that Nick could’ve found out anyway and ended up furious that they kept it from him.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will push Adam and Victoria to stop fighting since it’s not doing Nick any good.

Adam will be tasked with tracking Nick down and making sure he’s not relapsing again.

At Crimson Lights, Nick will be looking for Joe (Chris Grant Wenchell) when he finds Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and fills her in on the Marie situation.

Sharon will try to calm Nick down and make him see that this wasn’t his fault.

As for Nick’s efforts to find Joe, Sharon won’t think it’s a good idea for him to have any involvement with his former dealer.

Adam will locate Nick at the coffeehouse and admit the Newmans were worried he might’ve turned back to pills.

After Adam learns Nick wants to find Joe, Nick will promise he’s not looking to score anything.

However, Adam won’t think going after revenge on this Joe is much better.

Sharon and Adam will try to convince Adam to let the cops handle this, but Nick will obviously want to get payback for Marie himself.

Back at the ranch, Nikki will praise Adam for how he’s stepped up for the family lately and will fret over setting a bad example for Nick with her own issues.

Victor will disagree since Nikki worked so hard to overcome them and succeeded.

At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will chat with Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway), who’ll suspect they’ve learned whether they’re having a boy or a girl.

Sally and Billy won’t have confirmation either way, but they’ll both have strong hunches about the baby’s gender.

Billy will be convinced it’s a girl, but Sally will feel confident that it’s a boy.

After Sally and Billy toss some possible names around, Abby will bring them some cupcakes to celebrate their impending bundle of joy.

At the bar, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will pressure Cane to make a deal with her for the properties she’s after.

Cane will offer a tentative one for the GCAC and the office building across from Newman, but he’ll want top dollar prices and some honesty.

Phyllis will gloat about changing the lives of Genoa City residents and taking over this corner of the world.

Cane will act like he’s rooting for Phyllis and welcome the competition when she admits she’ll be going after Chancellor along with everyone else.

At the athletic club, Lily will interrupt Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) romantic meal with Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) and ask to speak with her cousin alone.

That’ll lead to Lily admitting her cancer may be back based on her yearly scan.

Due to an enlarged pelvic lymph node, Lily was sent for a biopsy in Chicago.

Lily won’t know the outcome of any further testing yet, but she’ll be nervous about the results.

Nate will argue that it could be a benign cyst, but he’ll give Lily a pep talk about her handling it even if it’s malignant.

Since Lily doesn’t know for sure if her cancer has returned yet, Nate will think it’s best to keep things quiet for now.

Lily will unload her fears on Nate, but she’ll hide the truth about her Chicago trip and blame it on business when she meets up with Cane later.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane will find out what’s going on sooner or later, so stay tuned.
