The Young and the Restless Wednesday, May 6 Recap: Lily Pleads for Cane’s Ankle Monitor or Police Escort to Travel

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, May 6, reveals that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will push Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) for a huge favor and hope that she can intervene for Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) sake.

At the GCAC, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will bring Lily a special “all the flavors” coffee and laugh over Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) making something similar for the kids when they were little.

Talk will eventually turn to Malcolm’s treatment in New York and how Cane will be flying there soon for his part in all this.

Cane will convince Lily to travel there together, but Christine will suddenly appear with an officer and announce that Cane’s being arrested for corporate sabotage.

Cane will protest and assume this is something Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has cooked up.

Since Cane needs to get to New York, Christine will point out it’s not likely he’ll be able to leave the state.

Even so, Cane will promise to get Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to help him make bail and sort all this out.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will notice Cane being dragged away, so he’ll turn to Lily for the full scoop and try to ease her concerns about the Malcolm situation.

Although Nate will note that Cane can donate from anywhere, Lily will insist everything’s set up in New York and fear that there are too many variables in play.

Besides, Lily will contend that Cane can’t donate at all if he doesn’t make bail.

After Lily summons Christine back to the athletic club, she’ll explain that Malcolm has aplastic anemia and that Cane is his only bone marrow donor match.

Lily will push for an ankle monitor or a police escort since Cane needs to be able to travel.

Christine just won’t know if that’s possible, but Lily will insist it’s the only way to save Malcolm and plead with the DA to make this happen.

At Summers Conglomerate, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will snap at her PR guy over the phone as she tries to tell him how to spin this arrest drama and fabricated evidence.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will show up with concerns about the Newmans’ claims and wonder how stupid Phyllis was, but she’ll insist Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is behind the bogus proof.

Billy will eventually acknowledge that he was a little harsh, but he’ll just want to make sure he doesn’t go down for any of this.

After Billy admits Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is pregnant, Phyllis will guess congratulations are in order and will once again insist Billy’s safe.

Billy was only mentioned in the emails, so there’s no proof that he sent anything.

Billy will have concerns about Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) representing Phyllis considering his loyalty to Victor.

Michael will show up and bicker with Billy briefly, so Billy will warn that he knows enough to be dangerous.

That’s why Billy will insist Michael and Phyllis had better not throw him under the bus or else he’ll hang Phyllis out to dry along with Cane.

Once Michael is alone with Phyllis, she’ll suggest they should pin everything on Cane.

Michael will think the better strategy is proving the evidence is manufactured, but he’ll know that’s going to be tough considering Phyllis really did steal Newman Enterprises.

Phyllis won’t ever want to hear Michael say that again and will remain determined to stand her ground against Victor.

Once Billy hears about Cane’s arrest, he’ll fill Sally in on that and his visit to Phyllis’ office.

Y&R spoilers say Sally will worry about Billy getting arrested too, but he’ll feel like he’s safe for now.

At Crimson Lights, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will give Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) the news about Malcolm’s donor match and the upcoming trip to New York, so he’ll hint about her coming along.

After some flirty banter about whether Claire should go, Holden will assume she wants the full Los Angeles story in exchange for coming with him.

Claire will assure Holden that she wouldn’t try to manipulate him like that, but he’ll offer her the whole truth anyway – for real this time – if she comes on the trip with him.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Holden may spill his LA secret to Claire soon, so stay tuned.
