The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for the week of August 17-21 indicates that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will hope for backup in her mission to keep Chancellor.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will also push for some information, and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will experience some tension with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Now that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has evidence that Chancellor actually belongs to the Abbotts, he’ll waste no time in trying to push Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Lily out of the company.
However, Cane will push for assistance from the Abbott clan and could potentially even ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help sinking Billy’s takeover plan.
Lily will also send out a distress call to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) since she’ll be desperate to stop Billy from making this bold corporate move.
As for Victor, he’ll take steps to drag Billy’s name through the mud.
Victor might even go as far as manufacturing proof to counter Billy’s own evidence about the loan not being paid off.
Victor could arrange for documents that suggest the debt was actually paid in full, even if that’s not really the case!
Regardless, Billy’s going to get all riled up, so Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will fear the worst.
On a happier note, Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will call up her friend who’s an orthopedic surgeon and get the ball rolling on Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) consultation for his hand procedure.
The goal will be to get Nate back in the OR, where he can hopefully perform surgeries again and resume his most fulfilling career path.
Back with Victor, he’ll talk to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about the best way to support Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Sharon will seek a progress report from Nick’s rehab center, so we’ll see if she gets good news.
There’ll be some fun stuff too thanks to Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) new song and Nina Webster’s (Tricia Cast) return to Genoa City.
Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will be tickled pink to see Nina in town again.
Over with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth), Y&R spoilers suggest his attempt to get Sharon’s forgiveness may not go over well!
Adam and Chelsea also have some conflict coming up as they get back down to business at Newman Media.
This may involve coverage of Billy and any lies that Victor might want to print.
Plus, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have new bonding scenes coming up, so more flying sparks should be brewing.
