When we last visited this love drama, rumors were rife that Eva Longoria was canoodling with her former flame, boy-toy Eduardo Cruz, younger brother of Penelope Cruz. But CDL quickly dispensed with that rumor by showing Eduardo’s tweets from California where he was doing the hang-ten with HIS current girlfriend. Our next likely targets were people she was seen with that weekend, including her longtime friend Amaury Nolasco.
Since then there have been reports that the guy she was with was a wealthy and successful businessman from Mexico and “he’s crazy about her” and “she’s very happy.” And today came a very interesting clue via Eva’s own twitter, where earlier she responded to a tweet from a certain wealthy and successful Mexican businessman
So who is this guy and what’s their story? Turns out he’s a wealthy and successful businessman from Mexico City. Fancy that! Also just so happens they spent time together in New York City that very weekend when Eva was mistakenly reported to be having a very public make-out session with Cruz. But thanks to the magic of twitter, the modern day celebrity laundry basket, we even have photographic proof.
His name is Ricardo Barroso, who owns one of the hottest luxury brand, lifestyle and interior design firms in the world. They were in NYC together celebrating his 40th birthday, and looking very cozy in the process. Now, he did refer to her as his “hermanita”, Spanish for “little sister”, but perhaps the story doesn’t end there. From what we could find out, they have been friends for a few years, even pictured together as recently as September in Los Angeles.
Is it possible that love blossomed in Nueva York? Has a fun friendship become a hot romance?
We find it very interesting that he’s actually older than Eva, something that couldn’t’ have been said about the last 4 serious guys in her life – Tony Parker, Ernesto Arguello, Mark Sanchez and Eduardo Cruz – boy-toys all!
