Majesty Rose stole the show last night singing “Tightrope” by Janelle Monae.  The judges loved her performance and had this to say, Keith “That was personally I thought a killer song choice.  Janelle is a good place to draw from for you.  Now it’s just a case of becoming more confident in what you do.”  Jennifer – “I don’t know you just have your own style, singing that song was so perfect for you and the different ways the rhythm hit your body and you moved, not every body has that.  I see it in you, and you are blessed.”  Harry – “You sang Happy and this tune so well.  There are so many different types of music that you have the ability to sing.  I think that was terrific.”  [VIDEO HERE]

Tonight’s American Idol Results show opens with a clip of the Top 13 enjoying dinner together last night after their first live performances. They are discussing how nervous they are for the Results Show tomorrow, they have all became great friends since they started American Idol and they don’t want any of the other contestants to go home.

Ryan Seacrest comes out and introduces the American Idol judges, and the Top 13 contestants. He calls down Malaya Watson, Jena Irene, Ben Briley, and Alex Preston. Jena, Ben, and Alex are safe tonight, but Malaya Watson is in the bottom three (according to America’s votes).

Malaya confesses that after she watched her performance last night she was really nervous and she thinks she could have performed better.

Next American Idol alum Candace Glover takes the stage to perform her song “Same Kinda Man.” (Which is currently #3 on the R&B charts.)

Ryan Seacrest brings down Majesty Rose, Dexter Roberts, MK Nobilette, and Sam Woolf. According to America’s votes Dexter, Majesty, and Sam are safe. MK Nobilette is in the bottom three with Malaya Watson.

Ryan Seacrest brings down CJ Harris, Caleb Johnson, Kristen O’Connor, Jessica Meuse, and Emily Piriz. CJ, Caleb, Jessica, and Emily are safe. Kristen O’Connor is in the Bottom Three.

It’s time to reveal the first American Idol elimination of the season. After the nationwide vote, MK and Malaya are safe. Kristen O’Connor has been eliminated from American Idol. Kristen O’Connor has one more chance to sing her heart out for the judges. If she blows them away, they may decide to use their only “save card” on her.

After Kristen performs her song Ryan asks the judges if they will be saving Kristen. Hank says that “in order to save a contestant the decision has to be unanimous among the judges, and unfortunately they couldn’t agree.” The judges will not be using their save card on Kristen, she is going home.

Kristen thanks the judges, the American Idol crew, and everyone that has voted for her before she says good-bye to the remaining Top 12 American Idol contestants.
