Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Child Protective Services Investigation Over Willow and Moises Arias in Bed (PHOTO)

The picture of 13-year-old Willow Smith sharing a bed with 20-year-old Moises Arias caused a massive furor in the media, with most people criticizing Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith for letting their young daughter share a bed with a half-naked guy 7 years older than her. Although Jada hit out against the media for blowing things out of proportion, claiming that Willow and Moises were just friends and that there was nothing ‘sexual’ about the photo, it doesn’t look like the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services agrees.

According to new reports, LA’s Child Protective Services has officially opened an investigation to look into the matter more closely, with a source telling Radar Online, “Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

The source adds that social workers will be talking to both Willow and Moises, and instead of being an open-and-shut case, the department will reportedly be taking their time. Apparently, the investigation could take up to a month ‘out of an abundance of caution‘, with social workers also talking to the families of Willow and Moises. They’re clearly being very careful with this investigation, which makes sense given the high-profile nature of the people involved. And obviously, Will and Jada have to be cooperative considering what’s at stake here.

However, if child services are looking into Willow spending time with Moises, by all rights, they should be looking into half of the families in Hollywood. Most celebrity parents don’t really notice and/or care about the people that their children are spending time with, and in fact, situations like Moises and Willow are actually quite common. Now, whether Will and Jada get penalized for allowing that, we’ll just have to wait and see.
