“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jason Thompson will be the new face of Billy Abbott. It looks like Billy will suffer massive facial skin burns in the fire and require plastic surgery and reconstruction. The result will be Billy having a new face- as Jason Thompson steps into the role.
The fans are skeptical if Thompson can pull off the role of Billy Abbott. Billy is playful, laid back, passionate, and extremely complex. “The Young and the Restless” fans are open to allowing him to prove himself- but after two recasts failing, they haven’t set the bar too high.
If the Internet rumors are correct, Billy will risk his life for Adam Newman [Justin Hartley]. He will do everything he physically can get them BOTH out of the building. On the way down the stairs, fiery blast catches Billy and knocked him off his feet. Adam has to decide if he wants to live or risk his life to rescue Billy- bringing both to safety.
Adam decided after Billy’s forgiveness and getting burned as a result of helping him, he will pull him out of the blaze. They both make it out alive- barely. Billy needs a medical miracle and a good plastic surgeon to survive the injuries. He will survive, but TPTB stated it may be a long road. It is possible that Billy will be off canvas for a while too because they haven’t decided when the new actor recast will take over the role yet.
Recently, an unconfirmed source revealed that Jason Thompson was at the CBS studio to do a screen test with Amelia Heinle. It was a HUGE clue that he is being at the very least considered for the role of Billy Abbott. Jason is a long-time close friend of Jill Farren Phelps; it would be very surprising if he didn’t cross over to “The Young and the Restless.”
It looks to be pretty much set in stone that Jason Thompson will be taking over the role of Billy Abbott when you consider that he is a close friend of TPTB and his recent screen test with Billy’s girlfriend [ or er ex-wife turned live-in girlfriend] on the show.
