The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Billy Abbott Horribly Burned in Fire - Plastic Surgery Allows Recast

“The Young and the Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott [Burgess Jenkins] will get badly burned in the fiery blaze, resulting in his needing a medical miracle to survive. It was speculated for a few weeks that Burgess Jenkins was leaving his role on the daytime drama and Jenkins confirmed his exit from the show.

TPTB at Y&R stated that the character of Billy would be recast, so Billy will not die in the Newman Halloween Bash fire.

The big question is, how will Y&R switch Burgess Jenkins out of the role and introduce his rumored replacement, Jason Thompson? Multiple media outlets have agreed with CDL that the Y&R writers will have Billy suffer facial burns that require plastic surgery to account for the difference in appearance.

Billy takes off in the burning building on November 2, Tuesday’s episode. He tells his family that he must look for his children because he cannot handle losing another child due to an accident. What Billy is not aware of is that his kids are safe and sound at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Billy is stuck in the burning building alongside two of his enemies, Victor [Eric Braeden] and Adam Newman [Justin Hartley].

The spoilers tease that Billy will risk his life-saving Adam. He stumbles upon Adam, who was hit over the head and is lifeless. He doesn’t want to risk his safety for Adam – he tries to leave him behind, but he cannot live with the knowledge that he left someone to die [not even Adam].

Spoilers tease that Billy faces a huge explosion head on and causes him to get badly burned. Adam finally wakes up and risks his life for Billy by pulling him out of the blaze.

Billy arrives at the hospital in bad shape; his family learns that he needs a miracle to make it. As time goes on, the doctor says he will make it but due to the burns, he will need extensive plastic surgery. Once the surgery is complete, Burgess Jenkins will be off the canvas, and the new actor [presumably Jason Thompson] will step in the role.

Another massive clue that this will be the last time fans see Billy for a while is he is absent from any sweep previews and spoilers ahead. It is a huge clue that they will take him off canvas while they recast the role, and will use that Billy’s in the hospital as a way to shuffle him off camera.
