This week on Married to Medicine Jackie and Quad head to Simone’s house to pick her up for the trip to Nashville to help Simone look for her dad. Simone says “I would not be able to get through this without Jackie and Quad.” When they get in the car Jackie tells Quad “There is one more person coming.” Quad says “Who?” Simone says Mariah is coming with us.” After a seconds hesitation Quad says “Ok. Let’s go pick her up.” She doesn’t seem to happy about it though.
Dr. Heavenly meets up with her preacher friend Jewel Tankard to talk about her alter ego Lil Kim. Jewel tells her “If you want to be a better woman you need to pray to God to make you better woman and to help you put Lil Kim away.” Dr. Heavenly agrees.
She says “I know that Jewel is right. I need to be a better woman for myself and my daughter and to become a better Dr.” Jewel tells her “Maybe I should give you a list of prayers for you to say when you feel stressed to keep Lil Kim from coming out.” Dr. Heavenly agrees. Jewel tells her “I want you to write out your confessions and put them in your mirrior where you can say them in the morning and at night.”
Toya is frustrated with her son Avery’s behavior. She received an email from his teacher letting her know that her son hit a little girl on the playground. Toya says “Mommy needs to talk to daddy.” Avery asks “Why?” She tells him “Because now the teacher wants to meet with mommy and daddy about your behavior.” Toya says “I believe that sons should be punished by their fathers. That way mommy’s aren’t there to say it’s ok. It”s daddy says and that’s it.”
Jackie, Quad, Simone and Mariah all arrive in Memphis. Quad is excited to be back. She says “This is the town that made Miss Quad Miss Quad, but I am not here to relive old memories. I am here to support a friend whose father is missing.” When they get to Dr. Simone’s house she is nostalgic about all of the old memories that the house stirs up, however she is also sad.
The Private Investigator shows up to question Simone about her dad. Simone tells the lady that her dad has not used any of the money in his bank account. She also tells her “He has no drivers license due to DUI issues.” As the PI continues to question her Simone becomes overwhelmed and gets up and leaves the room. Jackie says “I wish I could take this pain and wear it as my own.” She gets up and tells Simone “Whatever you need from me I’m here for you.” Simone thanks both her and Quad for being there with her.
Lisa and Darren head to their pastor to seek therapy for their issues. Lisa is worried about getting pregnant. It is revealed in therapy that Lisa does not feel like Darren is her best friend and she does not trust him fully. The pastor tells them “You have to be one hundred percent transparent.” He then gives them a homework assignment to go home and write down five things that they don’t like about their marriage and sends them home after praying for them.
Back in Nashville the ladies are preparing to distribute flyers with Simone’s dad’s picture on it. Simone’s cousin Nikki shows up to help with the poster distribution. When they get in the car Dr. Simone takes everyone to show them her childhood home. She tells them “If you left your bicycle out here it was gone.” Simone says “Never once did I think I would become a Dr with two homes when I was living in this little apartment.”
After speaking with her husband Heavenly decides to call Genise and try to make amends. She tells him “Jewel says we have the power of life and death in our tongue. Maybe I need to call Genise and try to make peace with her.” Her husband tells her “Maybe you should.”
The ladies are out on the streets of Nashville distributing posters when a lady gives them their first lead. She tells them “I know Frank. He hangs out at the junk yard.” Heavenly says “Where is Simone? She needs to come out of lala land and take me to the junk yard. We have our first solid lead!”
Back in the car Simone is talking more openly about her dad. Jackie asks her “When did your dad start drinking?” Simone says “He always had a drinking problem. I realized it got bad in my teens with cars getting repossesed.” When they show up at the junk yard Simone is disappointed that her dad is not there, but she does leave a few fliers and asks them to put them up.
Toya and Eugene are arguing in bed about Avery’s behavior. Toya says “Avery is missing that fun Eugene. He hardly spends any time with you because you are working so much.” Toya says “There has to be some accountability here and a punishment. So what is it going to be?” Eugene says “I think we need to take his IPad for a week.” Toya says “That’s too long.” Eugene says “So what then? Four days?” She finally agrees to that. Eugene says “Maybe I do need to spend some father son time with just me and him. I’ll work it out.”
Back in Nashville they head over to the church where Simone and her husband Cecil were married. She introduces him to everyone and tells him why she camee to Nashville. They then head into the chapel where Simone and Cecil were married. Simone says “Cecil was more concerned with making sure that people had fliers with directions to the rehearsal dinner on it than he was about making the rehearsal. I told if there was no rehearsal there would be no rehearsal dinner.” Everyone laughs. The pastor then prays for Simone’s dad.
Lisa and Darren are going over their homework assignment that was given to them by the pastor. Lisa tells Darren “I hate that you never have time for me.” Darren tells her “I hate that you never give me my space. When I come home from work I need to sleep.” Darren tells Lisa “I love that you believe in me. It makes me want to be a better person.” Lisa tells him “I love the way you please me in the bedroom.”
Back in Nashville the ladies are preparing to head home. Simone says “My goal for this trip was to get the word out about my father. I didn’t think we were going to find him.” Jackie says “If I can spare you the pain of what Quad and I are going through then I will do whatever I can to help you.” Simone says “I didn’t think that this trip to find my father would be a healing trip for Quad and Jackie as well.”
