Nikki Reed is ready for the next step in her marriage with Ian Somerhalder. The only problem, though, is that Ian might not be on the same page with his wife’s plans. In fact, sources say that Nikki is supposedly pressuring Ian to start a family in 2017.
Ian and Nikki have only been married for 18 months, but they’ve talked about starting a family several times already. And now that ‘The Vampire Diaries’ is ending for Ian, Nikki thinks that this is the best time for her to get pregnant. Ian, though, is hoping to land a major movie role in 2017. Insides say that he doesn’t want to be an unemployed father in Hollywood. At least, not yet.
In fact, Ian even told E! News earlier this year that parenthood is definitely on his mind, but a Nikki Reed pregnancy won’t happen just yet. He said, “Absolutely! I can’t wait. But with this schedule, living on a television show, it’s a bit difficult.”
It’s without a doubt that Nikki is ready for the next step in their marriage – after having some doubts about starting a family in the past. But apparently, Ian Somerhalder has other plans now. He’s worried about his future once ‘The Vampire Diaries’ end. He knows it will be hard for him and Nikki to prioritize their family plans with their Hollywood careers. Plus, they also have their production company. Ian has been telling his close friends and family members that he’s still young and feels like he has plenty of years ahead of him in his career. He’s not ready to slow down just yet.
While no one knows what the real truth it, one thing is for certain: both Nikki and Ian want to stay in the spotlight. In fact, Ian is hoping to transition from the small screen to the big screen. He doesn’t want to be another forgotten television star in Hollywood. That’s why he’s doing whatever it takes to make it happen.
