General Hospital (GH) spoilers say the messy divorce of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is about to boil over and the collateral damage could wreck both their families. Sonny made a mistake sleeping with Martina Morales (Daya Vaidya), Carly’s lawyer, even though he didn’t know they’d be in court together when she picked him up at the Haunted Star.
Sonny was lashing out at Carly for sleeping with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and was looking for some hot revenge action. He found it, but this will blow up in his face. Ava Jerome (Maura West) was with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) at the Haunted Star and saw Sonny flirting then taking Martina’s room key. On Friday’s new GH episode, May 5, Ava lets Sonny know she knows that he was out prowling with Martina.
Sonny threatens Ava and is confident he’s shut her down, but General Hospital spoilers say Sonny is wrong. Ava wants her daughter Avery out of Sonny’s house and back into hers and plans to use the CarSon divorce to get what she wants. Although Scott cautioned Ava not to stir the pot with Sonny, we all know she can’t help herself. Next week on new GH episodes (May 8 – May 12), Ava makes her wishes known about Avery and threatens Sonny.
General Hospital spoilers say that later in the week, Sonny gets bad news and it’s likely to do with his divorce from Carly. GH spoilers tease that Sonny won’t be able to stay away from Martina and his lust for the lady lawyer will complicate his life in ways he never thought possible. By the end of next week, Carly’s suspicious of Martina and Sonny and begin to make demands. It seems Carly’s trust in Martina was misplaced.
Will Martina betray Carly and give Sonny information on how to triumph in the divorce negotiations? Carly demands an explanation from Martina and again, it seems like cheating and lies have gotten Sonny into trouble with Carly. General Hospital spoilers tease that once Carly knows about Martina and Sonny’s affair, she goes off the rails. Sonny gave Carly a hard time about sleeping with Jax and now Sonny went and did worse.
It’s one thing if he had slept with a random stranger, but sleeping with her lawyer is a much bigger deal. If Carly wants to, she can have Martina disbarred for lying and try to keep everything of Sonny’s that he signed over to her. Just how low will Carly go and how messy will this divorce get? On Friday’s GH episode, May 5 Carly insisted she didn’t want to drag Sonny’s criminal enterprises into divorce court.
But now that Carly knows Sonny has sunk even lower, she’ll take the gloves off and prepare to crush him in divorce court. Things will get so bad between Carly and Sonny that Carly might even consider uniting with Ava to make a stronger case.
