General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Tamara Braun’s (ex-Carly) return is getting closer. Braun will head back to the ABC soap as a brand-new character on November 22. Most buzz points to Braun portraying Dr. Kim Nero, Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) mother. Let’s look at what we know about Oscar’s parents and consider where this storyline’s going.
Oscar’s mom is an elusive workaholic, so that’s the first clue that Braun’s playing her. General Hospital didn’t show Kim because they didn’t have one yet. Now that Braun’s on board and her return airdate is set, GH spoilers say Oscar’s mom will pop up in late November. That’s exactly when Braun’s scheduled to hit.
The show also offered more clues about Oscar’s father. Thanks to Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) snooping skills, they were able to find a letter that was sent to Kim in 2003. It was postmarked in San Diego, but there was no signature on the note. However, the letter writer revealed he left Kim with a gift. He suggested that this present reminded him of their relationship.
General Hospital spoilers state that Oscar’s storyline is going to be tied to Steve Burton’s (ex-Jason, Patient Six) plot in some way. Word has it Braun’s character will have a past connection to Burton’s character as well. It makes sense that Patient Six could turn out to be Oscar’s father.
Josslyn and Oscar will do their best to track down the gift his father left behind. Perhaps this could connect to the twin drama and proving which twin is the real Jason Morgan. Regardless, it seems likely that Braun and Burton will be a pairing at some point. Why give their characters a history if they aren’t going to revisit it?
Maybe the real point of the Oscar father search is to set up a love interest for Patient Six. Many GH fans saw some chemistry between Ava (Maura West) and Burton’s character, but Griffin (Matt Cohen) is her main squeeze right now. Likewise, General Hospital spoilers hint that Sam (Kelly Monaco) may end up sticking with Billy Miller’s version of Jason, at least for a good long time.
It sounds like Kim could be the one to show classic Jason some love. Kim is quite sensitive about Oscar’s dad and she kept that heartfelt note. She’s clearly dealing with some unresolved feelings. Josslyn also suggested that Oscar’s special, so there must’ve been a special bond between his parents, too.
